Teemo Passive Ability
Introduction
Introduction
Hey Guys! This is my first ever build on my favorite champion! Teemo is an excellent damage dealer in early and late game. Poising is enemies and hitting them fast and hard is his specialty. Read on to learn more about this build! Video is to come, I'm working on it. :P

Runes
Greater Quintessence of Cooldown Reduction: These quintessences give cooldown reduction to Teemo. This is good on Teemo so that his
Blinding Dart,
Move Quick, and
Noxious Trap are more readily available.
- greater mark of Desolation: Gives Teemo flat armor penetration so that he can still affect enemies who build up armor.
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction: Cooldown reduction is always good on Teemo, once again, so that his
Blinding Dart is more readily available.
Greater Seal of Armor: It is good to finish it off with some armor. Teemo is a very squishy champion and armor is very good at making him last longer in lane without having to recall. You may also substitute some of the cooldown runes for armor if you feel it is necessary!
Summoner Spells
Ability Explanation
- Camouflage Camouflage: When Teemo Stands still for 2 seconds he turns invisible and the enemy cannot see him. Upon moving again teemo gains attack speed and movement speed buffs. This is good to trick your enemies and then quickly shoot them down with Toxic Shot and Blinding Dart.
-
Blinding Dart (Q): Blinding Dart, after hitting an enemy champ makes all of their attacks miss for 2.5 seconds. It also deals some poison damage after the fact. Use blinding dart to initiate an attack in order to deal the most damage without being hit.
-
Move Quick (W): Move Quick buffs Temmo's movement speed for three seconds. It has a passive effect in that is movement speed is increased unless attacked. Move Quick is the perfect ability to escape messy fights that you know you cannot win. If the kill can be secured, stick around despite your health and speed out afterwards.
-
Toxic Shot (E): Toxic Shot damages and poisons the enemy target. Each time an enemy is hit the poison is restarted and more damage is dealt. Toxic shot is good for farming minions but can be troublesome as it sometimes cause kill steals.
-
Noxious Trap (R): Noxious Trap places a poisonous shroom on the ground which damages and slows enemies who pass through it. It is on an ammo system and recharges to 3 shrooms. After all three are placed it has a longer cooldown. Place shrooms at key points on the map to watch for ganks and slow enemies while being chased.
Ability Sequence and Combo
Start out by getting Toxic Shot as it is very useful for damage output during early game. Follow with Blinding Dart and Another Toxic shot. Take one point in Move Quick and max out Toxic Shot and Blinding Dart before maxing Move Quick. Take Noxious Trap at standard ultimate levels (6, 11, 16).
Open with blinding dart to ensure you are taking very little damage and auto attack using toxic shot. Use Blinding Dart as soon as it is off of cooldown if the enemy has not been killed. Finally, use Move Quick to escape when the kill has been secured. If being chased, run towards the shrooms you have placed in order to escape.
Items
Core Items
-
: I choose Berserker's Greaves because of the attack speed they offer. If you are feeling particularly squishy armor boots may be used as a substitute.
-
: Madred's Bloodrazor is the perfect item for Teemo! It gives armor, attack damage, and attack speed all in one, and it has a great passive effect of bonus magic damage. This is a must buy for any Teemo player.
-
: Teemo is a hybrid, utilizing both attack damage and ability power to decimate his opponents. So Malady is useful as it give ability power and attack speed. It also has a passive that can help a lot with Teemo's poison; it reduces magic resist up to a cap.
-
: Nashor's Tooth is another ability power/attack speed combo item that is perfect for Teemo. It also has a cooldown reduction passive.
-
: Whit's End is good for attack speed and an added element of magic resist that makes Teemo just a bit more durable in a match. It's passive deals bonus magic damage and increases magic resist up to a cap.
Optional Items
-
: I would finish off this with a Bloodthirster. Life steal works exceptionally well with Teemo's increased attack speed making it possible for Teemo to stand up to tanky opponents. If you aren't feeling very good about your health at this point a
Frozen Mallet may be built in its place.
-
: Use Warmog's as an alternative to
Bloodthirster if you are having trouble staying alive. It can also be purchased immediately after
Madred's Bloodrazor if necessary.
-
: As mentioned above, Frozen Mallet is another alternative that is good if you are constantly dying. It adds 700 health and bonus attack damage and is good for sustainability.
Laning and Farming
Toxic Shot taken early on greatly increase the efficiency of Teemo's farm. When faced with a minion wave, hit all of them equally and then back off to wait for last hits. Hitting them all first allows room for missing last hits but still getting farm. Teemo's poison is very effective when using this technique.
When laning try to stay towards the middle of lane and utilize Camouflage Camouflage frequently. Try to confuse your opponents by disappearing and focus them with your passive buffs. DO NOT PUSH unless you can secure the kill. Teemo is much too squishy to push far behind the minion waves.
Teamfights
Teemo has a very important roll in team fights: deal tons of damage! Teemo should never initiate in a team fight because of his low health. After a teammate engages Teemo should move into position behind that teammate and unload on the most important enemy champion. Start with the champion who has the highest damage output and work your way to the enemy tank if possible. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you avoid taking direct damage as this will result in a speedy death even with

Placement Explained
Twisted Treeline Placement: Unlike on Summoner's Rift, placing muchrooms in Twisted Treeline is aimed at illuminating key spots on the map where enemies may be hiding and slowing them down when the come in for a gank. Always start by placing three mushrooms in the middle jungle; place one above red buff and at the entrances on either side of it. Then move on to the bushes below red buff to protect from ganks. After that, place one at dragon and a few in the top jungle.
