Chapter 1

Introduction

When I first played Teemo, I seemed to lose more health then I thought possible. Then I start going to custom games and go around and trying out different builds for Teemo. This build puts in massive AP and AS. The one item I haven't seen many people used for Teemo to build more AP is Mejai's Soulstealer. AP is mainly important for the poison damages on each attack and the Blinding Shot hits when Teemo used it. Hope you like this build I made and hopefully it's useful for the perople playing as Teemo.

Basic Information

Teemo, The Swift Scout
Purchase Cost: 585 RP or 3150 IP
Roles: Assassin, Support, Disabler, Haste, Farmer, Ranged, Recommended, Scout

Teemo's History

Teemo is a legend among his yordle brothers and sisters in Bandle City. As far as yordles are concerned, there is something just slightly off about him. While Teemo enjoys the companionship of other yordles, he also insists on frequent solo missions in the ongoing defense of Bandle City. Despite his genuinely warm personality, something switches off inside Teemo's mind during combat so that the lives he must end while on patrol do not burden him. Even as a young recruit, the drill instructors and other trainees found it a little disconcerting that, while Teemo was normally charming and kind, he turned deadly serious and highly efficient the minute combat exercises began. Teemo's superiors quickly steered him toward the Scouts of the Mothership, which is one of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit alongside the Megling Commandos.

Playing as Teemo

Teemo's mushrooms can be used to farm creep waves very effectively.
Place your mushrooms at key locations on the map, such as by the Dragon or Baron Nashor, to reveal when your enemies might be attempting to kill them.

Playing Against Teemo

Teemo's Toxic Shot punishes players who get hit and back out, stay at a safe range until you're ready to commit.
If you're a ranged champion with an Oracle's Elixir, you can safely destroy Teemo's mushrooms.

Champion Abilities

CamouflageCamouflage. If Teemo stands still and takes no action for 2 seconds, he becomes stealthed. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 40% for 3 seconds.

This skill is so useful. You can just stand still and no one will be able to find you. Only way they can is if they use Oracle.

Blinding Dart. Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing damage to the target unit and causing all attacks to miss for the duration. Deals 80-260 (+0.8 per ability power) magic damage and causes the target to miss all of their attacks for 1.5-3.5 seconds.

Blinding Dart is very useful. It can blind your enemies and make them miss you for a short limited of time. With the amount of AP you give yourself, the more damage the skill to give.

Move Quick. Teemo scampers around, increasing his movement speed until he is struck by an enemy champion or turret. Toggle: Teemo's movement speed is increased by 15-35% until he is struck by an enemy champion or turret.

I love the fact that Teemo have this skill. He can just get away with anything when activating this skill. Only problem is that it only boost little movement speed and it last only a short limited of time.

Toxic Shot. Each of Teemo's attacks will poison the target, dealing damage each second for 4 seconds. Teemo's basic attacks poison their target, dealing 8-35 (+0.14 per ability power) magical damage upon impact and again each second for 4 seconds.

The best skill to use when playing Teemo. Teemo can auto attack with a fast amount of speed and deal a lot of damage with poison only. It only last for 4 seconds but it will deal massive damages even when an enemy escape to their base, and if your lucky, the poison after affect will kill them too.

Noxious Trap. Teemo places a explosive poisonous trap. If an enemy steps on the trap it will release a poisonous cloud, slowing enemies and damaging them over time. Uses a stored mushroom to place a trap which detonates if an enemy steps on it, spreading poison to nearby enemies which slows movement speed by 30/40/50% and deals 250/475/700 (+1 per ability power) magic damage over 4 seconds. Traps last 10 minutes. Teemo forages for a mushroom every 30/26/22 seconds, but he is only big enough to carry 3 at once.

The one skill that will be the most useful. Place it anywhere and will give out anyone's location when anyone comes near it. It's best when farming creeps and giving a overdose of poison to the enemies. It as well slows down your enemies and will give you an advantage to run to safety. The mushrooms will help you bait enemies and provide a gank.

Runes

Basic Information

The Summoner can equip Runes to increase their champion's capabilities. There are 4 types of Runes: Marks (offensive Runes), Seals (defensive Runes), Glyphs (magical ability Runes), and Quintessence (powerful all-purpose Runes). Also, there are 3 tiers of Runes; the higher the tier, the more powerful the Rune's effect. Summoners are able to use a rune per level of power in League of Legends. Before a match begins, a Summoner will be able to choose from three different rune configurations they have previously set in their Runes.

Greater Mark of Insight +0.95 Magic Penetration
Since Teemo is going to deal massive AP damage, you'll need some bit of magic penetration to melt away the HP for any champions with magic resistant.

Greater Seal of Alacrity +0.76% Attack Speed
The most important thing when playing Teemo is the attack speed. If Teemo is too slow, he won't last against tanks when he is in a 1v1 with them. Teemo's attack speed can also help out other members of his team and push back an enemy dealing a lot of damage.

Greater Glyph of Force +0.17 Ability Power per Level (3.06 at Champion Level 18)
AP is going to be really useful when using Teemo's Blinding Shots. It's more helpful when you auto attack your enemies with poison. The poison is affect by the amount of AP damage you can deal, which is really useful. Teemo's mushrooms can deal massive damage when your enemies go through them.

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude +26 Health
Teemo is a very squishy champion. These runes can raise Teemo's heath by a lot so its a good thing to use. The reason I use these for HP is because Teemo needs a lot of health to survive in combat. The health boost helps Teemo to escape with few HP left.

Item Build

Berserker's Greaves
I use this because of the good attack speed. This will make Teemo escape with minimum of HP left as well.

Mejai's Soulstealer
This item is amazingly useful for AP damage. This item is usually originally made for mage types, but since Teemo's power is from speed and AP, Mejai's stack will give him an AP advantage against the enemies.

Nashor's Tooth
Teemo need as much attack speed as possible since even only AP, Teemo will be dominated. Teemo's life is low, but if your attacks is faster then your opponents, you can kill them before they can finish you off.

Frozen Mallet
Teemo is a very squishy champion. He needs as much health as possible to survive in ganks.

Sword of the Divine
This gives an overall 60% attack speed. It's even useful since every fourth attack, you can deal 100 more magic damage. The active skill on this item will boost Teemo's accuracy and armor penetration by 30.

Phantom Dancer
This item is obvious. It gives more attack speed and it also give out some critical chances. It also throws in a boost for movement speed. You can replace it with Madred's Bloodrazor, but you'll will risk your movement speed and a little bit of your attack speed.

Mushroom Placement

5v5
-Around Baron Nashor's Area
-Around Dragon Area
-Around Lizard and Golem Buffs
-In the Grasses in Mid Lane (If Your Soloing Mid)
-Along the River (To Prevent a Gank)

3v3
-In the Swamp (To Prevent a Gank)
-Near the Dragon
-Near the Wolf and Lizard Buff

PlayStyle

Early Game: Level 1-6
Teemo is really good when soloing mid. It's best to solo mid so you can get as much levels in as possible in a fast possible rate. If you're not soloing mid and taking top or bottom with another player, then try playing defensive til level 6. If you're lucky enough to get a kill, see how much gold you have. First you'll need to get Boots, 2 Health Potion, and a Mana Potion. You should start spamming Blinding Dart at the enemy champion, but continue farming on the creeps as well. You'll need at least 1200 gold before recalling to get Mejai's Soulstealer, unless you need to go back to heal. If you recall and you don't have enough gold for the Mejai's Soulstealer, get an Amplifying Tome to build up for Mejai's Soulstealer.

Mid Game: 6-12
After a while, the enemy will try and attack you or you'll get ganked by enemies. You'll need to use Noxious Trap a lot around the mid perimeters and watch for ganks. If possible recall and grab your Berserker's Greaves. If you have enough gold on you, start building up for Nashor's Tooth and after that build up for Frozen Mallet for more HP.

Late Game: 12-18
This is where everyone battles out in mid lane most the time. Use Noxious Trap and place your mushrooms everywhere around the forest and on the outside of mid lane. Ganks will happen from left to right, so beware of the surroundings. Don't fall for baits and don't run after an enemy by yourself. At this point, your Mejai's Soulstealer should have at least 10 or more stacks from all the kills or assists you gotten. Start moving with your team down lanes and farm off creeps while you're at it. Gank any necessary enemies and bait them towards your mushrooms. You should get your Sword of the Divine before you reach to level 18. After you gotten Sword of the Divine you should try and earn enough gold just to finish up with either a Phantom Dancer or a Madred's Bloodrazor.

If you think my guide needs anything, please tell me what's wrong with it, then I'll take some of my time to get it put into my build. Thank You!

Thanks you for reading my guide. I would love it if you would explain why you voted or devoted me.

This is my first build and I would like it if you don't put rude comments about this build. Please at least state what is wrong with this build and how I can fix the guide.
