BorK and BC are the core items for this build, followed by Frozen Mallet. Once you've finished those 3 items, you'll find you have more damage than lethality varus, and you'll have an easier time kiting too. After that, the essence reaver and inifinity edge may take awhile to complete, but the late game max cdr and mana return allows for maximum spellslinging. Warning: slight use of hyperbole in reference to damage. it's not lethality varus level busted. xD

W can of course be leveled third in the event of going for an all in, as you can get more use out of your passive, but in most lanes, you should hold off till level 4 and continue harassing with Q as you farm, hence the 2nd point in Q at level 3.

Fervor can be traded out for Warlord's if you so choose, as Lucian is highly mobile and can make very good use of it. However, once you've finished your 3 core items, you are extremely tanky, and dont need the lifesteal as much. Meanwhile, its quite easy to stack fervor with lucian, so I do prefer it, except in lanes where I'm in desperate need of the sustain.

I use a standard ad carry rune page, but feel free to run whatever you feel comfortable with, or experiment on one for maximum efficiency. I would avoid any cdr in your rune page, as you will get max cdr from the item build alone.
