Holy ****, someone actually going 0/30/0 on masteries.

Itemwise, I can see what you're trying. In order to replace Trinity Force, you get something that builds from Phage, Sheen and Zeal. But you're not really being cost-efficient for the stats you get.

It's not that people are too simple-minded to take a build and make it their own, but merely think that this build is not efficient or even that good.

Also, since you seem not to be up-to-date, but not everyone takes Mercury's Treads any more and do get a Zephyr and Ninja Tabi, especially if they're against an AD lane like Darius, Lee Sin and Riven. Zephyr gives you the MS and AS that Jax would normally need in a Trinity Force, which is why some people take it now. Not an essential, but it's a decent item on Bruisers, especially Jax.

If you don't believe me:

http://www.lolking.net/items/3172#topchampions

60% win-rate on Jax.

For magic resist, Wit's End is usually a better item. Or straight up Guardian Angel for that defensive combo.

Trinity Force was nerfed more for ranged champions, btw, so it's still quite viable on Jax.

Also, where is your Warmog's Armor? It's the most cost-efficient defensive option right now. No Blade of the Ruined King either?

Oh, and your guide isn't written that well at all.

And don't give me that 'did you try the build' ****.

I wont give you the try the build stuff because you actually gave comments worth replying to
Those other two guys just blasted and didn't try to see anything my way

I don't like to write more than I need to, and this is my first build I'm posting so I'm kinda new to it anyway so excuse the build format

But anyways, I started this build, because I wanted to take jax to this tankier stop power build because I've been running into a lot of games with nid/elise sometimes both of them in the same game. And chasing those characters is a nightmare seriously. So I said, I need to scrap this Trinity Force because I want Frozen Mallet too much, and vs getawayers IT WORKS! And since I'm scrapping the trin force, I need to get a replacement for Sheen, cause that's where his damage is, the gaunts were the obvious choice! And furthermore I need that movespeed increase for chasing as well, and I've been playing a lot of Gangplank lately so I've been keen to the Statikk Shiv and it really works in my build... As for the last two items, that's personal preference and playstyle, I like to catch people, and a lot of first moves are to slow me down so I can't catch them, that's where the Banshee's Veil comes in.

I know people like the Ninja Tabi, but to be honest, I can't stand them, even if I'm laning against darius or lee sin, I shut them down before I need to upgrade boots (I don't find Riven players to be a problem in any case). Not to mention it means I HAVE TO buy a Zephyr... However, I do like that the Zephyr could easily replace the Shiv, so as an alternative, I'm going to take this idea to heart. Thank you

Warmog's Armor is a waste in my build, I look for item effects when building my character and the FM gives me enough HP to give me the tankiness I need. (The HP regen is not an issue imo)

Again I don't want to use Blade of the Ruined King, I don't need the activated ability in my build so it's useless

Thanks for your comments, I like to see opposition with a brain

Can you explain why you have picked Iceborn over Trinity? You say that you don't get Trinity because of Frozen Mallet, but then why in the world do you get Iceborn Gauntlet?

What about situational items? Gunblade, Zephyr, Guardian Angel, where are they? You pick Banshee's Veil because it "gives Jax everything he needs in a Magic Resist item"?

Are you being serious here? Can you answer ANY of these questions? -1

Iceborn has better stats all around, armor, cooldown reduction, in the same item as a sheen? ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Did you even try the build??

Zephyr is not needed, GET MERC TREDZ PERIOD... If it's low elo or you prefer GA over BV, that's your choice, this is my build, modify it yourself, or are you too simple minded to take a build and make it your own??

AGAIN ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS? DID YOU EVEN TRY THE BUILD!? <-CAN YOU EVEN ANSWER THOSE!?!?

Frozen and Iceborn don't stack. It just takes the greater slow of the two.

Yeah, but frozen lands on every hit. which is what you're after... What if you're out of mana? TRY IT ... Just try the build
