This guide looks pretty damn good - will try it out.
Not to mention your warding guide is the best thing I've found on this whole site since I'm a support main... thank you :D

Cheatsheet: 13/20
6/10 item picks + structure
You only give me one starting option in the cheat sheet. Some people don't want to read the guide itself but are just looking for help with the build. You should probably add atleast one alternative starting option there :) The "Mid Game Core" is kinda expensive and you really need to dominate your lane early to get. I'd recommend taking off the Last Whisper which you probably won't need with The Brutalizer.

7/10 the rest
Well the runes are okay. I'd like to hear your opinion about 21/4/5 or 21/5/4 masteries if you take something like barrier with them. Also, Lethality and Frenzy are pretty good masteries on someone with 100% crit chance and they shouldn't be forgotten if you are going with full offensive masteries.

Structure + coding: 14/15
9/10 uses of overviews, schemes and other uses of structure
This is pretty self-explanatory. The guide looks nice thanks to this.

5/5 uses of coding
You've done your homework. The guide looks awesome.

Content: 45/50
20/25 Full Build Quality Explanation
You certainly do explain the item picks and some item combos. I don't have much to say here.

20/20 Tactical Quality Explanation
You can be proud son. I think that your explanations about teamfights, gameplay, combos, harassing and then the "What should Pantheon do?" are brilliant. I don't know, the structure may have given you this because it looks good and isn't wall of text which is often the problem with most guides.

5/5 Quantity content
You do have plenty.

Bonus: 13/15
5/5 bonus chapters (matchups and synergy chapters)
Ganking/Roaming, getting gank from teammate.

5/5 Originality
Mid lane Pantheon.

3/5 attitude towards the readers (wants to improve)
Something I'm not sure of :p

I don't know if there is much to change about this guide. Great work.

It's so long! I had to stop halfway through and take a break from reading XD
I actually always take the muramana when i play Mantheon, but i only play him top lane. Still, it's a great item to take when you have extra gold from winning your lane or are a master of farming.
This guide has more than 3X the info from the top Pantheon guide on mobafire, and -20 lower score. **** your Logic. Hopefully people will upvote, this guide definitely deserves more then a 76% for all the effort you put into this.

Dunno about 2 ranks in Fury, in my experience Panth doesn't need the attack speed. Good coding, good pictures. Really comprehensive guide, which I enjoyed. +1

That mathcraft of x ability with y ability does this and that. If you've ever seen Goldfathers Riven Guide thats a good example.

You wouldn't happen to have a link of that, would you? I can't find it.

Guide review for you. c:

Content: 10/10
Cheat sheet looks great, although I like to see more structure than a bunch of rows. :b I also think you should focus on a little more MR since this is a mid lane guide. Also, since you focus on farming so much, I'd suggest taking Butcher / Destruction over Havoc . The damage increase is negligible, but last-hitting is very important. That's just a personal preference, though. Your runes are great, as are your masteries, but I notice a coding issue. Try
Code:
[[mastery frenzy]]
for Frenzy instead of Frenzy . c: But all I really have to say about your guide is WOW. You really keep the reader in mind and it's the most in-depth guide out there. Very nice, I would hope you get a higher rating soon. Honestly I am absolutely blown away.

Appearance: 9/10
Fantastic. You avoid all walls of text and your banners look perfect. You have great bb coding and I love all aspects of your appearance. No complaints.

The Bad
All I'd suggest is putting more MR into your core build since it's a mid lane guide, but nbd here. Also the mastery coding thing would probably help you out with references. c:

The Good
Wonderful guide. Great coding, appearance, everything. You go very in-depth and new Pantheon players should have no trouble understanding his mechanics at all. Keep it up, really. Your chapters covering early, mid, and late game are all priceless. Same with your diagrams. For real, I'm astounded.

Final Grade: 9.5/10, with a well-deserved +1

Da Review!

Runes are good. Early game core is good but sometimes you might wanna start 3 pots with flask instead of ward depending on the jungler/laner and their kill potential. A lot of the time though, you might want to only pick up one defensive item. Randuins is really good, so normally I'd go for that unless they are seriously lacking in AD. Otherwise, warmogs is a really strong choice. I'd take out points in sorcery and put 3 in havoc. 2% is little, but it's more than 3% extra CDR. It adds up. Also note you can max E sometimes instead of Q. Q is more of a poke, E, all in, because it does more overall damage. Personal preference of course, as E has a longer CD. Also dependent upon the lane. Your overall build is very good though.

NOW TO THE GUIDE:

Went through the whole thing. I have to say, this one of the best guides I've seen. You go seriously in-depth when talking about how to play champion, and a lot of parts made me giggle. It's also very nicely put together and you have a nice counter section. You have a bunch on teamfighting, laning, combos, everything really. It's quite nice. And the good thing? You actually know what you're doing and it's not a bunch of fluff. Definitely a +1. Kinda wish I was a scout too, because I'd give this one a scout point. Hopefully you get top guide! The one thing I would add to it though, it just more counters. Never restrict yourself to one lane or one meta. You want to really show how pantheon can fare against all champions.

Here you go!
___________________________________________________________________

Readability (3/3)

  • Structure: Really nicely structured and divided into sub-chapters. I really like this
  • BB-coding: Good use of columns and such to make it easy to read
  • Walls of text:Lots of text, but only few walls because of extensive use of both BB-coding and images
  • Other structure related stuff: This was the most enjoyable guide to read since I've started reviewing, even though it is long (which means lots of information, which is good!), you have done a great effort to make it this way, and therefore you get 3/3!

Content (5/6)

  • Cheat sheet: Well structured, there was only one thing that managed to catch my eye: You mention a sample 6-item set, but this is often what people just go for. In this sample, you mention Mercurial Scimitar, but this is highly situational, in my opinion. Also, I think you could merge the two groups and have them pick two, perhaps removing a second bloodthirster and hydra.
Finally, a defensive item should be core, even though you explain when to pick a defensive item in the guide itself. Anyone who has just hit level 30 reading this guide will simply leave the defensive item as 5th/6th item - which is really bad imo.
Explain what items you should get early game - a 4 item core leaves a lot open for low level players to make mistakes in. Just add a few little notes.
  • Skill order/explanation: Seems fine to me, good explanation why to go Q over E.
  • Item choices: Good, but again, make sure to mention what your early game core is. I think that is the biggest downside of this guide. Perhaps have a look at how I've structured my items/cheat-sheet in some of my guides. It makes more understandable what to pick when - and WHY you pick them.
  • Runes/Masterie/Summoners: All fine, except no alternatives for your runes (ever thought of armor pen marks?)
  • Gameplay: A really neat explanation of succesful use of your ultimate. I think that is the problem most pantheon players have because he is a rather straightforward champion.
In your late game chapter you have two opposing statements, both split pushing and staying with your team. I think you should emphasize split pushing, while making sure you stay in ult-range and getting wards so you won't get caught.
I have some doubts with teamfight example 2: I think they won that fight because jax/wukong/amumu had no coordination to jump on graves. I feel like your explanation is a bit wrong.

Others (0.7/1)

  • Special looks: The guide looks great while not making it harder to read!
  • Matchups: EDIT: I actually forgot that the matchups were in the beginning. Personally I always like to read what mechanics counter a champion, instead of hearing only his counters. Also mention what you can do best against the different champions. (for example, different builds to adapt to the situation)

Final score: (8.7/10)

____________________________________________________________________

Awesome guide, I must say.
Seriously, the only thing that stops me from giving it a 10/10 is because you have a somewhat poor explanation of your item choices, only mentioning what items are core, but not why and in what order you should buy them.
(Okay, there are a few really minor things, but I explained them along the way of this review)

Hi! Teh Grazzh0pper here with a review of your guide.

Content:

Cheatsheet

Generally fine, except you can tell them what items to get first at the very early stages (e.g. The Brutalizer).

Synergies

This section is really unnecessary. Everyone knows that junglers with good CC, nearly all supports and high CC champions go well with ANY champion, not just Pantheon.

Counters

Nothing much to say here, but Diana and Cassiopeia generally have a reputation of doing well against most AD casters. I got stomped in the game I was using your build against Diana by the way :P.

Runes

Actually, after getting one point in Heartseeker Strike, last hitting is easier cause of the 100% crit under 15% health(to me at least).

Items

Won't recommend getting a 2nd Bloodthirster unless you are insanely ahead. Pantheon isn't exactly an AA champ, and you sacrifice his durability in fights.

Consider Red elixir 4 pots 1 ward start. It can help you secure an early FB by baiting the opposing midlaner into an unfavourable fight, and allow you to snowball early.

Skill Order

Why take extra W at lvl 13 instead of maxing E lol.

Generally, it's really detailed which I like a lot. Apart from certain sections of the guide which is under progress(which you stated), the content is good and well-reasoned.

5/6

Appearance:

Really good in general, just that some parts of your guide are a bit congested, making it harder for me to read.

2.5/3

Does this guide bring something new to the table?
Mid lane Pantheon and extremely indepth. Great.

1/1

Score: 8.5/10
UPVOTED.

I can't comment much on your errors cause your guide is really good! Just remember to update the missing sections ASAP and with recognition, this guide should be the best Pantheon guide out there.

As what I say to every other guide, you don't have to follow my tips completely. After all, this is YOUR guide and not mine.

Xylarboden (6) | April 24, 2013 8:26am

Pantheon's base damage on skills is very high (hence why he's earlygame), so a full AD page doesn't help him that much as ArPen does. I'd go for ArPen marks and keep the AD Quints just for the sake of lasthitting.

This is incorrect. Assuming an opponent starts with 30 armor, and we start with a lvl 1 spear shot:

Full AD page: 66.15 damage
Full ArP page: 58.66

By using ArP runes, you aren't taking advantage of Pant's high bonus AD scalings. Feel free to check the math by hand or by calculator.
