Well I cant really come with some direct situations here because of the fact i never really have tried this more than a couple of times. My own experience shows me its quiet effective but 1.I think its a slow build to get rolling, and again 2.as Hybrid you will need to stand way close than i prefer with Twisted Fate, and the 3.idea kinda goes off a Hybrid build if you just gonna stand on long range and throw Wild Cards, you could use an AP build more then.

Sir. I have nothing against AP Fate, really, it's a burstalicious champions and it has been proven wide and straight.
1. I lol'd at this part, a little. It's hard until you get that precious Sheen and Boots of yours. Then Zeal, Phage and you're the one rolling the build. Fate has it hard until level, then just Destiny->Gank->Kill Steal->Free Cash->Recall->At least 2 parts of Trinity Force->Go back.

2. Yeah, close enough to throw one card in order to focus one person or the whole team, cause you're not going to burst the **** out of them, not with the most squishy champion in the game:/

3. Hybrid Fate is all about Pick A Card, if you can stand with it only (+ Stacked Deck of coz) till late game.

Anyway, still reading.
