Introduction!

Hello, this Is a Volibear guide I have made! He is my main champion as I love his play style. He can play a huge role of tanking their team whilst dealing "tonnes of damage!".

I currently have quite a low elo of around 1300 in EU West but I assure you I have a good understanding of him!

This is currently being made, that's why some parts of this guide will be missing.

Laning phase

In the laning phase Volibear can usually farm easily vs a melee champion. If they try to attack you will be able to take off a lot of health with your q w and most likely an instant W due to attacking the minions. How ever against ranged champions volibear will usually struggle to farm but some times can win the 1v1 fights. If you are being zoned try and keep farming at the turret with your basic attacks. If the champion because confident to attack the minions or turrets whilst you are farming at the turret, use your Q and E to throw them into the turret. If they have basic attacked you this should be an easy kill early levels. In an even lane, after getting his warmogs armor which adds sustain, tank ability and more damage on his W volibear should be able to dominate in the lane. But obviously this all comes down to the champions and the actual players.

Teamfights

Volibear is a great asset to teamfights due to his high cc with abilities and how he can consume much of their teams damage especially with his full build. Your aim at the start of the teamfight should be to try and catch out one of their carry champions like the adc or the mid. Afterwards you aim is to defend your vunerable carries by using your cc to keep enemies away from them whilst letting them destroy the enemy team. Played well, volibear can make a massive difference in teamfights.

Pros / Cons

Able to tank a lot of damage.
Large cc to help in teamfights.
If a carry is out of position volibear can throw them to their death.
Can have a strong laning phase.
Can make ganks very successful.

Has a hard time laning vs ranged champions such as jayce who deals large harras.
Doesn't have much tank ability without his items early.
