To me it sounds like you play an aggressive TF, probably the reason you build AD. However early game TF isn't made for harassing he's made for his support function (reason I take pick a card first) your job is to stun the target and assist the kill, simple. You get easy money and any damage you do take can then be healed off with a scepter. Plus if you're getting tower dived and actually being killed then that's something wrong there, where was the stun? Since we're still early game any tower dive should be met with a stun and an easy kill. You make a good point with more advantages but it sounds like hybrid isn't your play style anyways.

That use to happen to me. Rarely happens to me anymore, but as I said before. I don't play hybrid just from my past experinces I consider vampric scepter a very bad starting item. Plus that is not always true look at Kass, his null sphere has a long range, and he has rift walk.

About your harass comment, he does have acutally alot of harass. Wild Cards, Red card, and the have stacked deck up, and hit them with a gold or blue. Though this is getting off topic.

As I said before I consider vampric scepter a bad starting item if it works for you great, but this is just my opinion.

Edit: I play TF either AD or AP situation depending.

Sorry Crazy Smurf but those are common hybrid items so they do pop up a lot. Also thx for the defend, the damage doran's provides isn't enough of a boost for me to justify that early purchase when I can just heal my way through any early harass with the scepter.

You my friend have not be in my lanes then. I tried vampric scepter at first I was like hey I heal through early harass. Then when I went to harass they shurgged it off and returned the favor. Oh guess what before I could do any healing at my tower I got tower dived and died.

I'm gonna tell ya this right here and now. You will get dominated with a vampric scepter, and you are not always gonna be healing up that early harass. You have 400 health? Well they usually have 500 health + a doran's item= 600 health. But its okay you have a vampric scepter, and you have a meager 400 health.

Advantages of Doran's blade
+100 Health
+10 AD
+Better last hitting, and stronger red, blue, or gold cards.

Advantages of Vampric Scepter
+12 lifesteal.

You will get tower dived, and they will get away with it. It has happened to me multiple times, but when i had a doran's blade I found myself going back less and less. TF has a weak early game no? So you need survabillity, or at least you need to be intimdating.

I understand that Hextech is important to hybrid TF, but sadly if you die alot then you get no creep farm which = No Hextech Gunblade.

Bullshiet Ruddy.
Vampiric Scepter once you start is a good purchase for pure survival (that or +20 AP Tome; that is, if you have a healer on your back) to build them into 1 part of Hextech Gunblade which is the main force of earlier TF.

A hybrid build huh...well one problem with that. In the current game TF does the most damage when he is either full AD or full AP. Also hybrid=expensive.

I feel as though your masteries could be a bit better since you are going hybrid, but the mastries I see are when I go AD. Oh and good hands over preseverance every time. It matters it really does.

Now then your items...which as far as I can see I really only have one complaint about since I don't go hybrid. Vampric Scepter.....yeah. Drop it for what I would say a Doran's blade so you can last hit easier, and not get dominated in the lane.

Runes. I really only see one problem, and that means you really ought to change your seals to seals of vitallity. They give more health past level 6 or 7.
