Hi Everyone, this is my first guide and might not be as good as others but i decided to do a Twisted Fate Guide as I've been using him since around level 5 when i had enough IP to buy him. I have used him all the way even in Ranked as he is very consistent for me and his ulti is very good for ganking and also helps a whole lot when an enemy champion manages to escape with low health. Twisted Fate is all about timing which is what makes him so hard to master.

Pick A Card is a great 3-in-1 (sort of) spell

We take tons of defense like magic resist and armor as Twisted Fate is very squishy. We take AP quints which gives 15 bonus AP coupled with Doran's Ring as starting items youll have the right blend of defense and offence

These are our two spells for damage and escaping as twisted fate is a slow runner and he mainly relies on abilities for kills so Ignite might help him when his abilities are on cool down. Flash is to escape from ganks if you don't manage to stun the foe. Barrier helps out in teamfights but the timing must also be good and try not to waste it.

Wild Cards provide the main damage ability for Twisted Fate while Pick A Card helps to stun,regenerate mana, and slow enemies while Stacked Deck helps to get bonus attack speed which might be good if you're playing and AD Twisted Fate ( which we are not doing,this is an AP Twisted Fate). We also take the ulti whenever its available.People might argue why not select Pick A Card first, it is because if you use Wild Cards and time it well,you'll poke the enemy champion earlier and you would farm enemy minions at the same time anyway and you'll quickly get to level 2 where you can select Pick A Card so thats why it is usually better to pick Wild Cards first.

Try to stun your enemy before you use wild cards on him early on so it will be easier to hit your target and with a high enough AP,this will deal tons of damage already.

This is when you want to gank an enemy with higher health and higher speed.Use Destiny first to teleport preferably to a bush. Pick A Card helps to stun the enemy champion and deals damage while Wild Cards helps to finish off the foe.

This is when you want to gank an enemy with low health or for stealing Baron. Use Destiny to teleport then just use Wild Cards to finish the job.

This are the early starting items for Twisted Fate with health,mana regen and AP and is extremely helpful during early game. You do not really need Mana Potion as Twisted Fate's blue card using Pick A Card already helps you regenerate mana. this is what you should try to get on your first recall if you have enough gold and if you do have A LOT of gold you should purchase Rabadon's Deathcap for the high Ability Power You should have these two items by mid game to help with your burst and take down enemy champions quickly. This should be your core build which helps a bit of the squishiness and deals tons of damage with Twisted Fate's abilities Alternate Items
Abyssal Mask provides magic resist if going against stronger foes and you also need some AP. Athene's Unholy Grail provides great mana regen and also has AP and Magic Resist. If you se a lot of Pick A Card but rarely use the blue card to regenerate mana,this is a good option. Deathfire Grasp helps deal bonus damage and also great AP

When playing Twisted Fate do not be afraid to play aggressively as with the AP he is a good offensive champion. In early game, Wild Cards is a great poker and helps you to push the enemy and you can get the first turret easily by poking the enemy champion and when they recall always push the turret. If there is an enemy jungler always place wards and use Pick A Card to stun anyone that ganks as Twisted Fate is a very squishy champion so you must be very careful of ganks. By mid-game you might be able to get to the inhibitor turret already if not push harder. When teamfights begin always hide behind allies as enemy champions will target you first as you are very squishy. If you have a good tank you can focus on building Ability Power first to help your team get more kills. After you get your core build you are still squishy compared to the other champions but do not be afraid to go toe-to-toe with foes as your AP should be quite high already. If you need to you can always hug turrets,lure enemies into the turret range then stun them and this might lead to some very easy kills.

Twisted Fate works very well with the team and can stun champions,slow champions and with the right build can damage champions easily. Do not be angry when a team mate steals your kill as this is very common when i play Twisted Fate and see other players playing him as well.

Against Katarina,beware of her ulti as Twisted Fate is squishy. You can stun her using Pick A Card but your timing must be precise and fast before she kills you. When you see her running towards you be ready to stun her as she might Shunpo to you and do massive damage with her other abilities before she ulties. Always be alert against her and mind her movements.
