Its awesome mate realy nice i like it but you need to change some runes and items but its great thanks i do pentakill with darius with this guide sooo the Darius s8 is realy op im the best darius hahah thanks alot and the counters like yorick and teemo are not that hard but its realy cool bro conquer new rune realy nice to so i like it alot on darius but tank darius is too good bro and what level are you on darius? So, you mention that plus pots is a good start against champions who have skills you need to be dodging. Does that mean it's a good start against ? I mean he does have 2 skills you need to dodge.

I hadn't thought of that. It's because you need the extra armour in case he does trap you in the cage or send the ghouls on you, correct?

Yes. It's helpful for that. The cage is slow enough that it's easy to dodge anyway, and taking can also be useful. I just find that 3 potions helps players who aren't familiar with how to play the matchup.

Sounds reasonable enough. Well in my case I'll probably screw the lane up, anyways, but it seems like a good starting item.

Is conqueror really that good for Darius? I thought as a general rule champs with built in true damage really don't make great use of it... Since their overall damage output is already balanced around being able to do true damage, adding in something like Conqueror isn't a huge boost the way it would be on somebody like Riven or Yas.

I could see it maybe being decentish pre-level 6, but after that what good does it do when you're already dunking on people?

What's your opinion on Phase Rush?

Pretty good but Conqueror seems like a better option unless it gets nerfed. It's just ridiculously good on Darius right now to not use it.

The reason I run over in most cases is because it allows me to land more basic attacks. You see, not only does gain up to 200 bonus attack damage from Noxian Might, but he also has the second highest base attack damage in the game. This means that he can have up to 300-400 attack damage in late game.

Let's imagine a scenario where Darius has 350 attack damage with Noxian Might active. Darius casts , and lands it on his opponent. Normally this ability would deal 650 physical damage (minus resistances) but with it would deal 2% more damage, so 663 damage. You get 13 extra damage every time you land the ability, same with all other abilities. It would be safe to say Darius would deal 100 to 150 extra damage (minus resistances) in a prolonged team fight with .

Now, let's look at . The mastery gives 4% attack speed, meaning that in a prolonged team fight you're guaranteed to hit one or more extra basic attacks because of this. Since Darius has 350 attack damage, the extra basic attack would deal 350 physical damage (minus resistances) to an opponent. A single basic attack on Darius is more valuable than all the bonus damage gives. If it allows Darius to hit even more basic attacks, will be a lot more valuable than .

is up to personal preference whether you want to use them. You can also use if you feel like it helps your farming. You'll lose a bit on damage-per-second, but having more farm means you will get items faster. I've found the AD marks are enough for me to last hit under turret using my abilities.
Now, should you run AD marks and AS quints or AS marks and AD quints?

9x AD marks = 8.5 attack damage
9x AS quints = 13.5% attack speed
vs
9x AS marks = 15.3% attack speed
9x AD quints = 6.8 attack damage

The value of 1% attack speed is 25 gold and the value of one attack damage is 35 gold (taken from and price). With this:

297,5 + 337,5 = 635
vs
238 + 382,5 = 620,5

It is 14,5 gold more efficient to run AD marks + AS quints than the other way around. It's a small difference, but a difference nonetheless.

Wow that was an awesome reply, especially last part was impressive, I guess I understood the reason we're picking over , in best possible scenarios probably can give 150+ damage at its best, but when it comes to , you may die before landing AA and that doesn't count, but landing that AA because of that little attack speed may end up something like 350+ AA damage which is far far greater than damage output, I didn't think like this but I'm still curious if it is still increasing damage since its pretty high true ~ thanks thou ^^
