Champion Build Guide

Urgot Jungle (Predator)

By XAmityX
Why Urgot Jungle?
Urgot is an entirely viable champion in the early and late game, but suffers from a lack luster mid game due to his slow defaulted movement with no viable dashes. (His E no longer provides noticible extra distance (or is worth putting on cooldown) after boots are built.) But by allowing him consistent farm in the jungle, and constant mobility through predator, chemtank, dm's plate, and ghost (as well as his inherent ability to slow his enemy with his chem blasts and Q (and blue smite within the jungle)) he can ignore his major weaknesses entirely. Urgot jungle can also find many more effective cases for his ultimate, as within the top lane most champions can become very tanky and prevent him from gaining the immediate kills level 6 that would be available in fighting more squishy champions. In the jungle, Urgot can quickly roam to bot lane and using his extra movement speed form ghost and predator, get a free kill almost every time.
Early Clear:
Urgot jungle allows for a relatively quick (around 3 min 30 sec (quick for his original lack of damage to monsters)) clear. Urgot almost instantly destroys the first buff with his W if all chem blasts are hit (you should start fighting the first buff from behind to hit the downward facing chem blasts and circle around the buff to quickly take down its HP), meaning urgot can get his level two before almost any other jungler in the game. And if he gets a leash on top of his already quick buff, he can kill the first buff in about 5 seconds. If your bot lane agrees, this can allow you to (using your newly found E) triple invade the enemy jungler, who will likely be working on their first buff or just started their second camp. If the enemy jungle has a strong early game or your bot lane won't commit to an invade with you, avoid the fight and continue to full clear. If your team as a whole is invading, level E first. If an enemy gets close enough, you can play for a first kill, as first blood means urgot can quickly back, get boots, and start the game with predator. If the enemy is invading (and they are stronger than you) start on your other side of the map and invade their horizontal side. Urgot's level 3 is nigh unlosable in a 1v1, and simply getting level 3 in your own jungle just to wait in the enemy's bush can almost always land a kill if they aren't expecting it.
Objective Domination:
Urgot jungle has one of the strongest objective capabilities in the game. He can solo the first dragon at level four with smite (which he will have ready minutes before with enough time for multiple ganks or an invade between), and from then on is able to solo every objective besides baron. Urgot is always able to solo every dragon and rift, and does so relatively quickly if the objective is engaged with all chem blasts on W prepared. Fortunately, Urgot can also easily 1v1 any other junglers in the early game so long as he lands his E and chem blasts on them. (Do NOT use your E for shield on objectives unless you are sure the enemy jungler is elsewhere, as its large cooldown means you could be attacked mid objective and be defenseless.) This means that in order for the enemy to prevent Urgot from getting objectives, multiple enemies must roam, allowing for extra pressure on the map. Urgot jungle also allows for many ways to get out of sticky situations. The best way to avoid enemies closing in on you for an objective is to predator/ghost/chemtank towards the enemy with the lowest amount of CC, E them, Q to slow them, and leave. Do not force bad fights with the presented build options, as they rely on late game scaling achieved with quick ganks and objectives. It is much better to escape using one of your many ways of speeding yourself up and slowing the enemy down than to die trying to fight a hopeless objective or team fight and lose before you can scale.
Teamfights:
The presented Urgot jungle build relies heavily on quick assassinations of squishy champions using his high movement speed and guaranteed CC. Because of this basis, Urgot jungle's mid game can tend to feel a bit weak within team fights. Until Urgot has full items built, he can be easily cc'd due to his big hitbox and killed within a 5v5 teamfight. Urgot is NOT a strong engage during the mid game, and is much more effective and finding picks prior to or after a team fight using his ultimate and MS (this all changes late game). If the enemy team is even or stronger than your own team during the fight, Urgot should attempt to ult the hypercarry of the enemy team, as it slows the individual and allows for a quick pick through the execute before the hypercarry can show atcual impact. If you can find a gap, attempt to rushdown the enemy hypercarry using your MS, ult, and E. Colllectively, Urgot's mid game still is relatively squishy, but also has instakill potential against squishy champions. Since this build favors ghost over flash, Urgot struggles to do the classic play of ulting the weakest player without thought and flashing in for a massive fear, and must instead try to rushdown the enemy squishies with a backline flank and ult to land a larger fear. Late game, this build shows its true face. Urgot in this build is unkillable. He can 1v1 any champion he so chooses by quickly running them down, tanking thousands of damage through his gargoyles shield without care, and pounding them down to be quickly ulted and removed from the map. In teamfights Urgot can simply rush in, tank an obscene amount of damage, use his W and chemblasts in combination to deal surprisingly high damage while slowing the enemies to sitting ducks for your own team to pick off. Objectives become free as end game urgot can even solo baron (though risky) and needs multiple enemies to stop him. If you make it to end game, very few champions can fight back. Almost none can win.
Tips and Tricks:
1. Urgot ultimate does not register on minions, jungle camps, or objectives. This means you can ult the enemy jungler through dragon, rift, or baron for an easy steal.
2. Urgot can E, then flash for extended range. The E will still attack in the original direction it was inputted, so keep the direction in mind when choosing where to flash. This can also be used if you think you will miss an already inputted E.
3. Urgot's auto attack range is a blantant lie. Urgot can actually hit enemies considerably farther than where his markers in W or range when holding C suggest. Keep this in mind when chasing a target.
4. URGOT E CANNOT GO OVER WALLS. DON'T BE A VICTIM.
5. Urgot's passive chem blasts scale in CD with level. At max level each side only has a 2.5 sec cooldown, so making a full circle around a running away enemy isn't worth it.
6. Urgot is one of the only champions that can kill a training dummy through his ult!
