I'm currently going into Plat and shooting for diamond, but I have Mastery 7 Veigar and mastered the miniature monster this champ is. I know many of you guys might think I'm not good enough to be making a build but I love this Champion so much I feel as if I should give everyone who's new to this champion and would want to explore the deep dark depth of the void. Veigars' Basic Combo is: E-W-Q/E-Q-W.
You could be able to late game only use Q-R to 1 shot.
You could also W in a spot and gate right around it to force the enemy champ to run into the stun for Q
His ult can never come first. You could just keep kiting using E-W-Q (sometimes R right after)and end up killing everyone.

Before locking in Veigar, be aware of his counters and try to communicate with your team to get hard cc chain champs and such so veigar could excercise his will to stun and 1 shot.

In game, Veigars' job is to keep himself far ahead of everyone in CS and stacks. He needs to stay in lane the first part of the game and when he's nice and juicy all fed and ready to roam, he could simply travel to other lanes and enemy jungle to help his team mates.

As Veigar goes scales over time, he needs Creeps to be able to do that. It's smart to go take Raptors, Wolves, and Rift Scuttler when jungler is clearing other camps and when you need some mana and extra gold out of lane.
If possible, ward enemy buffs and camps at times so you can use your heavy AP and steal their camps and since you over power their smite, you can pick it up easy.

Try to help your team by putting the gate perfectly in between them and enemy to help seperate and deliver the decisive damage in battle. Easily you should be able to use the gates to change the tide of battle, burn flashes, easy pick offs, and just control the positioning of enemy champs and create open windows for team mates to get kills and take objectives. Stay back by a cc champ or a healer because you'll need to be taken care of since you'll be focused most of fights.

Pro:
Great late game scaling.
Huge gate for great stuns.
1 shot ability definitely.
Able to overpower smite.

Cons:
Hard to catch up with if enemy gets too fed.
Disadvantage against Teleporting champs.
Easily able to be dove.

Veigar is very very heavily orientated on farming. By 10 min you should have farmed around 70-80 stacks, 20 min you should have 130-150 stacks, and a good Veigar should end up having 380-400 stacks at 30-35 min.
Farm heavily and farm with q mostly to get stacks.
