Doran's is helpful if you're on top or bot and expect to be fighting against a physical damage character. But going mid against a magic user I pick up the tome to start building Rylai's.

Warmogs is terrible for Vlad. I love playing against Vlads who go HP instead of AP.

This build is an ok build but there are a few things I do not agree with. First, I find that getting doran's shield on vlad is useless. I find it a much better decision to start building warmogs fromt he start. Second, putting materies into utility for vlad is kind of silly. Going down the tank masteries is probably more useful for this specific character. Third, SV is an ok item but in all reality if you get warmogs first you dont need it.

Excellent build except for the warmongs , it is too expensive and doesnt do much . Maybe replace it with a void staf ? Cause late game everyone will be stacking mr or a will of ancient(the spell vamp is wicked on him though i wished it synergised with spirit visage) ?

I got no problem with the Warmog's being there but if you're going to buy it, make it your first item as it takes some time for you to reach the cap bonus HP. otherwise a decent build, I would probably not use this exact one but I see where you're going with it.

Seems like a strong build, I'll try it and hopefully (if I remember), come back and give you a thorough rundown on how it worked.

I haven't tried this build out yet because most Vladimirs I fought that purchase a Warmong's Armor don't exactly succeed with it, but I'm willing to test it out to give you some feedback on it since I've been playing Vladimir 24/7 since he's released always had my friends save him for me unless we had a 5 person premade where I could just pick him.

As for the runes I don't know why the red are the cooldown and the blue are the magic penetration I would personally switch that around. Since it's rather common to always have your armor penetration or magic penetration be in the red runes.

I'll comment again after testing it a bit and possible switches that you might want to consider.

About your runes, Wouldn't you gain both more cooldown reduction and bonus magic penetration if you swapped your glyphs and marks? Check my build if you want an example. Vladimir - The Bloodied Impaler(AP Build).

Masked Duck the whole point of RATING a build is based on your Runes, Item, Skills at what lvl and the text that follows.. Telling them not to down rate because they dont like the build based on items is like saying. Buy this car but if you dont like the engine then just swap it out.. Doesnt make much sense.Why not use they advice given and change your build and see how it works if its better then Viola. If you just dont like getting rated then dont post a build.
