Abilities

Crimson Pact : His passive is great since it will give you a ton of bonus health from your base ability, and vice versa.
Tansfusion: This spell is a lane controller. It will do a ton of damage, and heal you enough to stay in lane for a long time.
Sanguine Pool : This spell will save you from many dangerous times. Such as, when Karthus uses Requiem, if you time pool correctly you won't die. The spell is better to use when needed to secure a kill or to escape because it chops of 20% of you current health.
Tides of Blood : This spell is amazing whether you're farming or fighting someone else. It does aoe damage, and has a buff that increases the damage of the next one, that stacks 4 times. Sadly, it also increases the health cost. It also increases your healing and health regeneration, making it amazing.

Hemoplague : This spell will place a circle of blood on the floor. If anyone steps on it, they will take increased damage making it the best iniate of a fight for Vladmir. After it wares off, it explodes and deals damage to the target affected, so it can also be used as an extra ignite.

Runes

My rune choice was decided to let you harass, but still be versatile and healthy. First things first, Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x 9 is a must have, so you won't get blocked out by magic resist. For seals I use Greater Seal of Vitality x 9 is great since it gives a lot of health late game which converts to health. Though it Can be replaced with Greater Seal of Scaling Ability Power if you would like a little bit more damage, or Greater Seal of Cooldown Reduction if you would like more cooldown reduction. For Glyphs, I use Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power since it gives a lot of ability power late game that is converted to health, but it can be switched to Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction if you would like to have more Cooldown reduction. For quintessence's I use Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power since it gives a lot of ability power late game that is converted to health, but it can be traded for Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration if you would like more Magic Penetration, or Greater Quintessence of Scaling Cooldown Reduction if you would like more Cooldown reduction.

Masteries

I take a Offense 21/9/0 so I have the most damage possible, but sill stay tanky. If you would like you can take a Defense 9/21/0 build, or a Utility 9/0/21 build.

Items

My choice in items were decided to give Vladmir the most Ability power and defense. The only item that is not a "Must Have" is Warmog's Armor. It is a very good item since it gives lots of health which converts to ability power, and health regeneraton, but it can be replaced with a Zhonya's Hourglass if you would like a ton of Ability Power which converts to health, lots of armor, and invulnerability, Spirit Visage if you would like to be more tanky, a Lich Bane if you would like some magic resist and a increased auto attack damage scaled of your ability power, or a Abyssal Mask if you would like magic resist, ability power, and enemies having less magic resist. Mejai's Soulstealer is not recommender, but if you are completely dominating eary game, it is worth picking up. You will need to buy Sight Ward's or Vision Ward's and place them often. I have a map of ward placement farther down in the guide.

Skill Sequence

My choice in Skill Sequence was decided to give Vladmir the most harass and sustain in lane. I always mx out Transfusion first since it does a ton, and heals a good amount. I then max out Tides of Blood since it does great amounts of damage at 4 stacks, and it will hit all enemies near you. It also gives extra Spell vamp for the time the buff is on you. Sanguine Pool is my last spell I max out since it is not the best, but YOU HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 1 POINT..It will save you from many ultimates, and other life-threatening spells. Vladmir's ultimate Hemoplague is insane. It should bepicked up every chance there is. It will increase damage done to the targets affected by it, and then deal damage to them when it is gone.

Summoner Spells

I use Ghost and Ignite, so that I can finish off enemies that are low, and run out of tight spots. Flash can be a good alternate for Ghost, but fo Vlamdmir I feel as if is not as good since you have Sanguine Pool . Exhaust is viable, but not recommended. All other summoner spells are not recommended to use at all.

Farming

With Vladmir, you have a easy farming experience. Your Transfusion has no cost, and has a short cooldown, so if you're not harassing with it, you can use it to last hit minions. Tides of Blood is also a great way to farm. Once you get your Hextech Revolver, you can spam it without losing lots of health.

Gank

In a gank scenario, let the enemies push. Once the person who's ganking comes in, lead with Hemoplague if you have it, Transfusion, Tides of Blood, then slow with Sanguine Pool, and then you might as well spam Transfusion and Tides of Blood, and try to finish them off with Ignite.

Team Fight

In a team fight, you want to start with Hemoplague since it has a damage debuff on the enemies making them take more damage. You then want to spam Tides of Blood and Trasfusion to keep yourself alive. You should use Sanguine Pool when you need to, such as to slow them, or to avoid life-threatening spells such as Requiem.

Lane Structure

Vladmir can mid and solo top well. When mid, you need to harass, but stay safe. When fighting Anivia, you need to avoid her spells, so she loses her mana, giving you a HUGE advantage.Though, you need to realize that she has an egg, so don't end up commiting suicide by diving. When you're with champions like Gragas or Brand, you need to keep up your harass when they do. They will constantly be throwing spells at you, so you need to be aware.
When you're top you with champions like Garen, you need to keep on harassing so his passive doesn't heal him. With most champions in any lane, you're stronger, so it should be pretty easy to dominate early game.

Enemies

In my mind, there are good and bad champions that can be against Vladmir. Some of the ones that you will have an easy time beating are Lux, Veigar, Annie, Fizz, Garen, Teemo, Ezreal, Ziggs, and Xerath.
They are very easy to take down since they can'tt really poke as hard as you, and aren't very sustainable in lane.

The couple that can be annoying and can sometimes hurt are LeBlanc, Nidalee, Karthus, Anivia, Ryze, and Kassadin. Many of the other champions you may see in your lane are neutral with Vladmir. Knowing who will be against you can help you decide whether you will solo top or solo mid.
They are very annoying to take down since they do much more damage then you in poke, can easilly counter your attempts to harass, and very sustainable.

Knowing who will be against you can help you decide whether you will solo top or solo mid.

Summary

Overall, Vladmir is a very tanky, strong and versatile champion. He excells at team fights, and staying in lane for long periods of time. He shines late game, so do well early game, and you will dominate late game.
