Runes
Runes: As I said in the Notes, My standard setup of 9 x Hybrid Pen Marks Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration, 9 x Armor Seals Greater Seal of Armor, 9 x Scaling AP Glyphs Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power, and 3 x Attack Speed Quints Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed Is my normal setup for WW Warwick. This is for late game dominance, however it will give you a very fast clear time in the early game.
Another option is to switch the 9 Glyphs and the 9 Marks with Attack Speed Greater Mark of Attack Speed Greater Glyph of Attack Speed That setup allows a very fast early game and clear time in the jungle.
Start with your W Hunters Call at level 1, Then max your q Hungering Strike to maximize damage and Life steal in ganks. Then max your w Hunters Call. And take you Ulti Infinite Duress whenever it is available.
Starting Items: To start buy the Hunter's Machete Hunter's Machete, 2 x Health Potion Health Potion.
The Machete will help you in the jungle, with WW passive heal, you will not need a lot of health potions but they are good to have in case you get a bad leash and need some extra health.
First Back: No, This doesnt mean you have to go back at 775 gold. Yes I have been asked that a lot actually. So first item is your Hunter's Machete Hunter's Machete upgrade to Skirmisher's Sabre Skirmisher's Sabre, and your basic boots Boots if you have enough gold left over.
Skirmisher's Sabre will help your attack speed along with the enemy champ Smite option. The damage reduction will help in jungle battles.
Core items: After your first back, Finish Skirmisher's Blade with the Devourer Enchantment Skirmisher's Sabre - Devourer then build Blade of the Ruined King Blade of the Ruined King. with Warwicks Magic Damage scaling, the devourer will add a lot of damage as you gain stacks.
Next I build Frozen Heart Frozen Heart for heavy AD teams, or Spirit Visage Spirit Visage for heavy AP teams. When building frozen, Build Glacial Shroud Glacial Shroud first. The CD from it will help out a lot. Spirit Visage will add to your life steal of your damage and makes you able to tank turrets after bot defense core items are built.
Side note: The CD redux of Frozen Heart Frozen Heart will bring your ulti to 56 seconds cd in late game (lvl 16). Just enough time for the opponent carry to respawn, and get melted again.
Boots depends on the team, use Ninja Tabi Ninja Tabi for heavy AD Teams, Merc Treads Mercury's Treads for Heavy AP, or normal games use Boots of swiftness Boots of Swiftness.
Last item choice: Depending on what you need, More offense, use Wit's End Wit's End, More overall defense use Guardian Angel Guardian Angel my favorite, or Randuin's Omen Randuin's Omen ,Banshee's Veil Banshee's Veil for heavy AD/AP respectively.
If top lane is winning or pushed to the enemy turret, go to the Toad and kill it. then move your way back down the line through wolves/wraiths/golems. Watch the map, if any lane starts getting pushed, move toward it to help. (Lately in Bronze i have noticed that opponent junglers will wait to lvl 4 or 5 and gank bot first. You will end at bot at the same time as them for a great counter gank. It will either feed you or your carry.)
After ganking bot, move back up the line. You will hit lvl 6 either right before your first buff respawns or with the first respawned buff at about 6:45 to 7:30. That's when the mid game for me begins.
If one of your lanes (mainly mid/top) needs to back and you are in the area, cover for them. kill a few creeps but dont push the lane. You are there to keep the opponent from taking the tower.
Note: See Tips and Tricks (I know, there's not too many) for below 6 clean up ganks or counter ganks.
Some useful info for the Smite Buffs:
Toad: a Thornmail like buff that damages enemies/mobs as they hit you.
Wolves: Vision at the Blue buff lower 4 way jungle path intersection
Birds: A "Early detection" of wards great for ganking mid without being seen
Rock Turtles: Stun Buff, every 5th attack will stun a monster
I do not care about a KD ratio, I care about winning and what's is good for the team. If I have to die for that to happen, I will.
Be a team player! Yes WW can carry, yes he is hard to kill. However, You do not have to carry, it's a team game not a 1v1 game. Help your laners to carry the game and just support them. I usually rather have 20 assists than 10 kills. As you see above, I have more assists than kills in 90 percent of my games for that exact reason.
Work with your laners. If your in a gank, and your laner is behind, pull off the enemy and let the laner finish him. Get them back in the game.
There is no shame in leaving a jungle camp unfinished to help or gank a lane. then you come back. I have left the small mobs in the buff camp many times to go help top/bot/mid kill the opponent then come back and finish.
One of the forgotten things is WW's ability with the Super monsters (Drag/Baron) WW can solo Drag at around lvl 6. I usually wait until I have BOTRK Blade of the Ruined King or close to it. If your laners can help great if not so be it. Baron can be soloed at 16. This does take a bit, so pick your time wisely so you do not get caught with your pants down.
Level 3-6 ganks work (especially in Bronze) because nobody on the map expects it. Too many times I see WW players say "I'll start ganks when i have level 6" or "WW doesn't gank till 6" At low rankings it is a surprise attack and will keep the opponents on their toes after the first ganks. Why? because they didnt expect it until 6 and now have to worry where the hell you are and where you are going next.
Communicate, communicate, communicate. Let your laner know you're coming to gank. 2v1 is better than 1v1. Many times with communication, the "all chat" lights up after a gank, "where the heck did WW come from" Remember you're a wolf. YOU LIVE FOR THE PACK.
