Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
Alistar is a tank, simple as that. Once he pops his ult, your only gonna be tickling him even more. The only real threat he has to you though, is knocking you up, and your carries deep into his team. Just focus on using your CC to keep him away from your carries, and you should win teamfights.
Annie
Annie is an incredibly powerful support. If you lane against her, your gonna want to change your Runes a bit more. Her ability to AoE stun and deal tons of magic damage, will destroy thresh early game.
Bard
Due to Bard's squishyness, and only CC really being his Q, Bard is an easier target for Thresh to take down and hold for his carry to rip apart. Just dont stay grouped enough for you to get tethered to an ally. REMEMBER: Your CC abilities can affect those going through his magical journey tunnels!
Blitzcrank
The only issues I see with Blitz is his grab. If he gets you, and its before 6, you have a strong upperhand. If its after 6, and he has ult, just play it a little safer, since the silence can delay your combo, but overall, you'll still end up out dueling him, and with your carry near, you'll win without a doubt.
Braum
His kit overall is a pain for thresh. His Q slow, his W blocking your CC and autos, his E for a quick dodge of your CC, and his ult for knocking you and allies up. If you lane against a Braum, play safe. He can end up out tanking thresh, and dealing more damage to your team if left unchecked.
Leona
Leona would be higher up on the difficulty bar, but if timed right, Thresh can knock her off his carry with Flay when she Zenith Blades in. She is a strong tank, and watch out for her passive, which deals bonus damage to you when her allies attack you if the debuff is on you. Just play safe, and try to keep pulling her under tower, you'll win lane.
Morgana
A laning nightmare for Thresh. Her spellshield will screw up your entire combo, and her Q will destroy anyone it hits. The stun her Q weilds can be the end of any carry if it lands, don't be a hero and take it if it looks like it can be dodged. Thresh is an all in champ, unfortuantely, Morgana is an anti-all in champ with her ult and spellshield.
Nami
Her bubble is easy to dodge, her ult is easy to side step. Q and flay her into your carry, and its over. She's incredibly squishy and easy to take. Laning against a Nami, all you really have to worry about is her heals to her carry, and if your carry gets caught by a bubble.
Janna
Though incredibly squishy and easy for thresh to lockdown if he grabs her, Janna is well known for being the disengage queen. Her Q and R will knock Thresh away easily. Try and taunt her to put either one or both onto CD then engage. If she is caught, its over.
Sona
Though quite squishy, she can outpoke Thresh hard. Early game thresh is going to have issues. Try and get your jungler to help gank once or twice to give you an edge over her.
Soraka
I feel after her rework, she isn't as strong as she used to be. Once caught, Thresh can easily rip through her. Just don't stand in her E and you'll be fine.
Thresh
Thresh against Thresh can be interesting. It all depends on build and who can land what combo more accurately. This lane will be almost an absolute stalemate, if no carries or jungler is involved. Just keep yourself between the enemy thresh and your carry, and you'll do fine.
Zilean
With the redesign of his bombs, he can be an annoyance, as well with his ult. His speed boost can get you to miss several Death Sentence's, but don't worry. Once he's caught with his ult down, nothing he can do will keep him alive.
This is my first guide, and I working on trying to make them better to fit more people's playstyles. I just want what others have experienced as Thresh, and any questions, comments, concerns, etc for you to give it to me! As stated in the title, this guide is a Work in Progress! Thank you kindly!
