I do this guide for people they will know how same things work in detail. To have a good start with Wukong. So I hope I can help with this.
Otherwise give me answer what to do better or I am wrong with a point.
Thanks a lot!!!
my name is Cybot JJMD and I play on the EU west server. I introduce my Wukong Guide to you and explain his best way of playing. I also have a NA account so I have meanwhile more than 5000 games behind me.
I will always update this guide and i will be how to play vs specific champions.
This Guide isn´t for player they only build the Core Items and try to win with them.
It oughtn't general solution, because that don´t exist.
The Guide should be a signpost and help to improve the style of play.
Opponents like Malphite, Darius, Vladimir, etc. can´t be countered by a Wukong. You can only win vs very heavy opponents if they do a mistake like get hits by a tower, use a skill to farm or they be ganked.
For example I meet a Vladimire top lane and he farm at level 1 with his "Q" after that I feel to engage because his ability is on cool down and the most damage come from his abilities. At this point you can deal so much damage that your opponent get away from you and can´t farm. Or he use his ability again and you start a new attack.
It is very hard if your opponent save his abilities. In this situation you can only farm and hope for a mistake or you get help.
Use of Wukongs abilities are very mana intensive so use they wisely. Save mana up to level 3 or 4 and start your attacks with Nimbus Strike following by Decoy near your own tower. Repeat this until your enemy is low on health and you think u can finish him off.
In the most fights is Decoy my last option because many opponents use abilities to finish you. So use Decoy on low health if you don´t want to run away.
Tip: Use Decoy after a normal attack because the stand animation after a normal attack is the same as Decoy looks like. So your opponent can´t be able to distinguish.
Another trick is if you use Decoy to flee change your course of running. They will search in front of your Decoy. Next one is to press "S" to stop running and it looks like a Decoy. Maybe with this you get more distance between you and your enemies.
As a rule, you cannot simply fix any items since the opponents are always others and also correspondingly other items of advantage are.
A small example (A): Your oppponent is Xin Zhao top Lane! You can start with Doran blade. Your opponent doesn't have any abilities to damage you from a wide distance. With level 3 you have all cousin abilities to attack and flee or counter his abilities. All abilies can be countered by Decoy. You can attack Xin Zhao with Crushing Blow again and again till he forced defensive play, can be killed or try to attack you. Wait for his Three Talon Strike and use Decoy after the second hit. The third hit knocking yout Decoy into the air and after this you can start your combo.
A small example (B): Your opponent is Malphite Top-Lane! A Doran's blade will be not useful for you. His shield can protect him from damage which means you get always a disadvantage if you trade. Moreover, he will keep you away from farm with his Seismic Sharp. A good Malphite won't lose against a good Wukong. At this situation I always start with Cloth Armor and 5 x health pots. Then farm (even if you must use abilities for it) and try to hold your own tower as long as possible. Then buy the first boots with Wriggles Lantern to stay longer in lane.

I use two ways of skill-order:
A: Q-E-Q-W-Q-R-E-E-Q-E-R-E-Q-W-W-R-W-W
for the most melee champions they can´t stop your combo.
B: E-Q-E-W-E-R-E-Q-E-Q-R-Q-Q-W-W-R-W-W
for the most AD ranged champions or mage champions.
For an example: You are fighting against an opponent he can stun you. You will engage with Nimbus Strike and after this you get stuned. So you can´t follow him to do more damage and your speed buff from Nimbus Strike is useless. For this I always use the "A" skilling sequence. Level 3 Crushing Blow deal more damage than level 3 Nimbus Strike. But level 4 Nimbus Strike deal more damage than level 4 Crushing Blow.
This only count if you don´t land Crushing Blow first and you don´t following with Nimbus Strike.
If an enemy can´t stop you from running use "B" skilling sequence. You can use your burst combo and do same auto attacks.
You must only observe that the most damage comes from the combo of a normal attack, Crushing Blow, Nimbus Strike and another normal attack.
If you become level six add your ultimate behind the combo.
An early point on Decoy cannot be recommended with this Guide as Wukong since you usually hold back at the beginning. So ganks won't very probably for the enemy jungler and the same count on a opponent engage. So stay in your minion line at beginning and max your damage abilities first for these situations. So take one point in Decoy only at level 3 or 4.
Additionally I always max Nimbus Strike first befor I max Crushing Blow as the combo that I have explained to do the most damage.
- good damage with the explained combo
- Decoy can save you from many situations
- Nimbus Strike allows you to fast engage (e.g. for AD carries)
- the ultimate can decide a team fight
- you become fed, you be unstoppable
- the passive allow you to be a off tank
Cons:
- you must have much patience
- against many opponents the only way is farm
- only crowd control with the ultimate
Darius
Irelia
Jarvan IV
Lee s
Malphite
Murdering emperor
Pantheon
PoppyRenekton
Riven
Shen
Singed
Sion
Vi
Vladimir
These champions fall under this category because they:
- have a good shield
- have lifesteal
- can stun you and Decoy can´t prevent this after the ability is locked
- can attack you and flee fast before you can deal damage
- abilities are renged
- deal more damage in 1on1 as Wukong do

Yorick
These champions fall under this category because they:
- can´t be stop you farming
- get damage from Crushing Blow without the chance to deal damage to yourself
- deal less damage in the 1on1 as Wukong do
- you can dominate them up to level 6 and normally next to that
- can take you out from the game if they are good players

These champions fall under this category because they:
- can be easily dominate at level 1
- can´t stop you from farming
- often use only Skillshots
- be countered by Decoy
- get more damage as they can deal
- get less resistance as Wukong
- get less health
Darius:
Quint = attack damage 2,25 x 3 = 6,75
Mark = attack damage 0,95 x 9 = 8,55
Seal = armor 1,41 x 9 = 12,69
Glyph = magic resist 1,34 x 9 = 12,06
start items = cloth armor + 5 x health pots
Darius physical damage per hit = 71,8
thereof bonus damage = 18,3
Wukong:
Quint = attack damage 2,25 x 3 = 6,75
Mark = attack damage 0,95 x 9 = 8,55
Seal = armor 1,41 x 9 = 12,69
Glyph = magic resist 1,34 x 9 = 12,06
start items = cloth armor + 5 x health pots
Wukong physical damage per hit = 76
thereof bonus damage = 18,3
Darius first skill = Decimate
105 + (1,05 per bonus attack damage)
physical damage = 124,21
+ Passive Hemorrhage 12
+ (0,3 per bonus damage) magic damage
= 17,49
Wukong first skill = Crushing Blow
30 + ( 1,1 per attack damage)
physical damage = 113,6
I use for this example a standard build.
Both player attack himself with an auto-attack:
Darius lvl 1 = 71,8 physical damage + 17,49 magical damage
Wukong lvl 1 = 76 physical damage
The result is that Darius deals more damage with a normal attack as Wukong.
Both player attack himself with the first skill:
Darius lvl 1 = 124,21 physikal damage + 17,49 magical damage
Wukong lvl 1 = 113,6 physikal damage
The result is still more damage that Darius deal.
Auto-Attack plus Skill damage: ( Darius passive stacks two times )
Darius lvl 1 = 196,01 physical damage + 34,98 magical damage
Wukong lvl 1 = 189,6 physical damage
The same at level 4.
Darius lvl 4 VS Wukong lvl 4
Darius lvl 4:
damage per hit = 82,3
da von bonus damage = 18,3 Decimate lvl 2 = 170,31 physical damage
Crippling Strike lvl 1 = 98,76 physical damage
Passive Hemorrhage lvl 2 = 35,49 magical damage per stack
Wukong lvl 4:
damage per hit = 85,6
da von bonus damage = 18,3
Crushing Blow lvl 1 = 124,16 physical damage
Nimbus Strike lvl 2 = 119,64 physical damage
In this example we suppose that both champions have 50 armor and 50 magic resistance and both use his combo:
Darius Combo: Decimate; A-A; Apprehend; A-A; Crippling Strike; A-A
Passive Apprehend 5 % Armor Penetration (Wukong Armor = 47,5 = 23,75 % Abwehr)
Decimate lvl 2 = 170,31 physical damage - 23,75 % = 129,86 physical damage
Auto-Attack = 82,3 physical damage - 23,75 % = 62,75 physical damage
Apprehend = no damage
Auto-Attack = 82,3 physical damage - 23,75 % = 62,75 physical damage
Crippling Strike = 98,76 physical damage - 23,75 % = 75,31 physical damage
Auto-Attack = 82,3 physical damage - 23,75 % = 62,75 physical damage
Total physical damage = 393,42
Total magical damage = 177,45
Total damage = 570,87
Wukong Combo: A-A; Crushing Blow; Nimbus Strike; A-A; Decoy; A-A
Crushing Blow 30 % Armor Penetration (Darius Armor = 35 = 17,5 % Abwehr)
Auto-Attack = 85,6 physical damage - 25 % = 64,2 physical damage
Crushing Blow = 124,16 physical damage - 25 % = 93,12 physical damage
Nimbus Strike = 119,64 physical damage - 17,5 % = 98,70 physical damage
Auto-Attack = 85,6 physical damage - 17,5 % = 70,62 physical damage
Decoy lvl 1 = 70 magical damage - 25 % = 52,5 magical damage
Auto-Attack = 85,6 physical damage - 17,5 % = 70,62 physical damage
Total physical damage = 397,26
Total magical damage = 52,5
Total damage = 449,76
This simple examples shows that Darius always deals more damage as Wukong. So it´s important how to play vs him.
Vladimir start with:
boots + 3 x health pots / Runes Magic Pen Mark 7,83 and AP Quints 14,85
Transfusion lvl 1: 99 MD
Tides of Blood lvl 1: 68 MD
AD: 48
AP: 14
Armor: 19 ( 9,5 % ) after Crushing Blow 13,3 ( 6,65 % )
MR: 32 ( 16 % )
Wukong start with:
Doran´s Blade / Runes AD Mark 8,55 and AD Quints 6,75
Nimbus Strike lvl 1: 83 PD
Crushing Blow lvl 1: 130 PD
AD: 87
Armor: 31 ( 15,5 % )
MR: 43 ( 21,5 % ) after Pen 35,17 ( 17,85 % )
Vladimir first engage:
Transfusion lvl 1 ( 99 MD ) + A-A ( 48 PD )
Magical damage added to Wukong: 99 MD - 17,85 % = 81,33 MD
Physical damage added to Wukong: 48 PD - 15,5 % = 40,56 PD
Total damage added to Wukong = 121,89
Wukong first engage:
Nimbus Strike lvl 1 ( 83 PD ) + A-A ( 87 PD )
Physical damage added to Vladimir: 83 PD - 9,5 % = 75,12 PD
Physical damage added to Vladimir: 87 PD - 9,5 % = 78,74 PD
Total damage added to Vladimir = 153,86
Vladimir second engage:
Transfusion lvl 1 ( 99 MD ) + A-A ( 48 PD ) + Tides of Blood lvl 1 ( 68 MD )
Magical damage added to Wukong: 99 MD - 17,85 % = 81,33 MD
Physical damage added to Wukong: 48 PD - 15,5 % = 40,56 PD
Magical damage added to Wukong: 68 MD - 17,85 % = 55,86 MD
Total damage added to Wukong = 220,23
Wukong second engage:
Nimbus Strike lvl 1 ( 83 PD ) + A-A ( 87 PD ) + Crushing Blow lvl 1 ( 130 PD )
Physical damage added to Vladimir: 83 PD - 9,5 % = 75,12 PD
Physical damage added to Vladimir: 87 PD - 9,5 % = 78,74 PD
Physical damage added to Vladimir: 130 PD - 9,5 % = 117,65 PD
Total damage added to Vladimir = 271,51
Fight explanation:
Vladimir can be a hard opponent if you let him harass you with his "Q". If he use his "Q" at level 1 on minions to farm so start your engage with Nimbus Strike and hit him as much as possible. If he save his ability so wait. If you get level 2 start farm and if he attack you with Q-E so engage with E-Q. After your abilities aren´t on colldown start farming again and wait for another Q-E from him and start your combo again.
Take care of your range to him. Maybe after the first trades he will stay back and he will fill his life with "Q" on minions. So by ready to zone him. For skilling go Q-E-E-W-E. That means max Nimbus Strike first.
If Vladimir playing realy defensive so do last hits on minion and start fighting near your own tower.
Another thing is if Vladimir stay near at your tower run back behind your tower and come from the river side. Use ignite and ghost. Wait for his Sanguine Pool and start your combo with Crushing Blow, Nimbus Strike following by your ultimate.
Singed start with:
Crystalline Flask + health pot + ward
AD = 60
AP = 12
Armor = 49
Magic res = 34
Singed abilities:
Fling lvl 1: 112 APD - 47 MR ( 23,5 % ) = 85,68 AP damage
Poison Trail lvl 1: 25,6 APD - 47 MR ( 23,5% ) = 19,58 AP damage x 3 sec ( 58,74 )
Wukong start with:
AD = 87
AP = 0
Armor = 35
Magic res = 47
Wukong abilities:
Crushing Blow lvl 1: 130 PD - 49 Armor ( 24,5 % ) = 98,15 physical damage
Nimbus Strike lvl 1: 83 PD - 49 Armor ( 24,5 % ) = 62,67 physical damage
Fight explanation:
Singed will deal the most of his damage over time. So harass him with normal attacks and your Crushing Blow. Do the first two points into Crushing Blow and one into Nimbus Strike. At level 4 or 5 take Decoy. At level 4 you can slao take 3 points into Crushing Blow and one into Nimbus Strike. Because this works better vs a Singed. After the third point into Crushing Blow max Nimbus Strike. In mid-game Singed will be harder and try to push the minion wave into your tower. Buy wriggle´s lantern and keep the minions away from your tower. Harass Singed with Crushing Blow whenever you can. If he Fling you so use Nimbus Strike to get away from Poison Trail and stay save at your tower.
Save your ultimate for ganks or to finish him off.
Garen start with:
Elixir of Fortitude + 6 x health pot
AD: 78,18
AP: 0
Armor: 34,39
MR: 43,31
Garen abilities:
Decisive Strike lvl 1: 139,45 PD - 35 Armor ( 17,5 % ) = 115,05 physical damage
Judgment lvl 1: 74,73 PD - 35 Armor ( 17,5 % ) = 61,65 physical damage (every half sec )
Wukong start with:
Doran´s Blade / Runes Mark armor pen 8,55 and Quint armor pen 7,68 ( old style )
AD: 71,5
AP: 0
Armor: 35
MR: 47
Crushing Blow lvl 1: 101,5 PD - 34,39 Armor ( 9,08 % ) = 92,28 physical damage
Nimbus Strike lvl 1: 73,8 PD - 34,39 Armor ( 9,08 % ) = 67,1 physical damage
Fight explanation:
It´s the same as fighting against a Singed. You start with your Crushing Blow ability and harass him as much as possible. But if he use Decisive Strike you better dodge this and engage after that. The Skill-Order is Q-E-Q-W-Q. After Crushing Blow level 3 max Nimbus Strike. Garen will always try his combo Q-E and you can´t counter that if he can land Decisive Strike on you. Mid-game Garen can be harder right after level 6 with his combo and his ultimate. So a good choise of items are lifesteal and health to counter that. I buy boots following by Phage, wriggler´s lantern or Blood Thirster, Warmog´s.
