Introduction

Hello! I'm a plat 4 Jungle main who's main is Xin Zhao (180k mastery on him). After the successive nerfs to rage blade and the previous nerfs to botrk I started struggling with Xin in a way I never had before. So I played around with a lot of runes/masteries and item setups and came to find a route that I find makes him enjoyable and worth while to play. Basically you get Sated Devourer and then go full tank and become a sustain tank.

Items

Outside of getting Devourer as quickly as possible I can't really tell you what and what not to buy. It's all conditional and you are left with a lot of options with the way the tank items currently are. Generally I take Ninja Tabi unless they have 2 reliable sources of AP damage. Generally I stay away from Frozen Heart and Thornmail unless I don't have to respect the opposing teams Magic damage or they have a fed ADC. Spirit Visage is always the go to MR item seeing as the point of this build is to make you a sustain tank.

Abilities

Standard here I never would see a reason to deviate from this.

Masteries

Just going with what helps with the sustain tank but decent damage theme.

Runes

Runes here are to give you scaling tankiness and help with your early clear. Full physical damage quints and red go well with your W.

Creeping / Jungling

Standard jungle route for me is Gromp(smite)> Blue > Wolves (smite) gank. Generally I tell a lane to let their opposition push them in so I have room to work with and show up before most people expect a gank. Get a flash or kill 90% of the time. Also Xin ganking is pretty straight forward except try to get behind them and hold your E tell they create some distance or to finish the Kill. A lot of Xin's always use E to initiate when it's far from the best.

He's all in no escape except for flash
Can be slow clearing tell he gets Devourer
Team dependent no longer a carry
