Hai!
My name is Lemonos, and here I'm about to show you how to play Zed decently.
I mostly play assassins, and Zed is almost in every matchup my champion of choice.
I hope that I can help you out, and of course get you an inside look of Zed.

Pros / Cons
+ High Poke
+ Insane damage
+ Strong in all times of the game
+ Gap-closer/escape
+ Always something to learn
+ Always a strong pick
+ Looks epic
+ Epic Voiceing
- Very low burst when behind
- Needs to be played often to play well
- Needs proper Runes in order to be played well
- Countered by escapes / Zhonyas / Zhonya-like Abilities
Runes
These deal with AP champions in the middle lane.
Here i show you, which runes you should go for if you are laning against another AD Champion.
Taking :
9x Armor Pen. Marks
9x Armor Seals
5x CDR Glyphs
4x MRES Glyphs
and either 3x Armor Pen. or Flat AD.
Masteries
I do not think, that you can vary here.
Farming
You can safe farm with your Q, you can get 2 or more minions at once with your E.
Especially your passive let's you farm easily.
Also, you have a huge wave clear with Zed, using the technique below.
(W + Q/E + Q/E)
Teamfighting
You can pretty much kill everyone in the game, if you are not behind.
Just make sure you ult before you land something, and you will be ok.
