Standard AD Runes. Nothing special. Gives Zed an early chance of kill potential.

Masteries

21-9-0. Very good on Zed as it offers VERY high kill potential early game and late game as well.

Items

Building items on Zed is not overly complicated. You want to build some Life Steal and A LOT of Armor Penetration as AP mids don't have sustain early game, which will give Zed very early kill potential, which is essential.
