Zyra is an ancient dying plant but she transferd herself in to a human body for a second chance at life. Centuries ago, she and her kind dominated the ***ungu junle. Using thorns and vines to consume any animal that set foot in their territory. Zyra is a women in thorns. She uses vines to strangle opponents and torns to kill.

Rise of the Thorns

This is the passive of Zyra. When Zyra dies you can shoot a last thorn. This thorn deals true damage (81 + (19 x current level). This is a skill shot and its short ranged. You can activate this passive by pressing any ability (q/w/e/r).



Deadly Bloom

With this ability zyra growss a bud at target location. This bud explodes after a short delay dealing 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+65% of ability power) magic damage to enemy's in current area.
You can use this ability for poking enemy's and farming in early game.


Rampant Growth

Here zyra plants a seed who grants vision for 30 seconds. This ability has a passive who grants 4/4/8/16/20% Cooldown Reduction. The seeds can be activated by casting another spell on the seed. Then the seed becomes a plant who fights for zyra. If a target is attacked by the same plant the damage will be reduced 50%. you can combine this ability with

deadly bloom
This combination forms a thorn spitter who deals 23 + (6.5 x level) (+20% of ability power) damage on enemy target.
Grasping Roots
This combination grants a vinelasher who deals 23 + (6.5 x level) (+20% of ability power) on enemy target. When target is attacked by this plant he will be slowwed.

This ability is very usefull for poking enemy's and farming minions early game. You can tank a blue buff with this plants. Also this plants will do a good damage on the enemy champs.


Grasping Roots

This tosses roots who grasp. If the roots hit target they will snare the target for a short time. The roots also deal 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+50% of ability power) damage on target.

This ability is very usefull for rooting targets, chasing down, slowing enemy's, focus an enemy and starting fights,


Stranglethorns

Zyra summons roots who will knock arborn targets and deal 180 / 265 / 350 (+75% of ability power damage on every enemy in the area. If a thorn spitter or a vine lasher is in the area they wil be granted with a attack speed of 50%

This ability is very handy for ending team fight, damaging whole teams,...

It is best to start with Grasping Roots then you root your enemy. But the skill is when you just started your Grasping Roots planting a seed Rampant Growt behind the target. Then the seed will become a vinelasher. So the enemy will be rooted and slowed.
Then you have to use Deadly Bloom and wile deadly bloom is summoning plant a seed in the area. You can close of by using your ult Stranglethorns.

But mostly after the rooting and slowing the enemy wil use flash. and dodging your ult. If you play this very tactic you could summon your Strangethorns just after you rooted the enemy and wile your ult is summonging then use your Deadly Bloom and Rampant Growht instant This wil do your enemy all the damage. If the enemy is then stil alive a few auto attacks and an ignite will finish the job.

Zyra is a powerfull mid champ, she got a great burst damage. But the problem is she can be counterd by a lot of champs.


Akali can dodge your root, with her spellvamp she can burst you in a second. If you get in a lane vs akali. You have to play very safe and just poke. If you got a good jungler then you can kill her with a gank. If she flashes up to you, you got to root her in time and make you are out her range.



Its like the same with akali. You have to play safe so you don't feed. In early game you have to poke her and you depend on a good gank of your jungler. If she reaches level 6, you have to becarefull of her ult. Play safe and just focus on farming. Signal jungler for ganking.



The problem with Leblanc is that in early game she got a very big burst damage. The problem is if she caught you she kills you in seconds. You can not realy got a good play agains leblanc. But you can try to poke her. and if she approaches you can root her. If you got a good jungler you can gank her as soon as possible. Try to build more magic recist so you tank her burst. Zonia's Hourglass cna be good to tank her burst. But in early game she is easy to poke. First use Deadly bloom and plant a seed with Rampant Growth in the area. Now you get a thorn spitter and leblanc will get damage. when LeBlanc engages she wil use a flash. If u you Grasping Roots and shoot it to the place where she started from you might get a snare and do damage. But play safe and try to out farm her. Ask for gank on level 3/4 so you are in an advantage.



The problem with Fizz is that he can dogde every snare, or poke you try. If he jumps on his triant. You can try to poke him with you thornspitters. Use a perfectly timed root with a good anticipated ulti and thornspitters. If you combine that with a ignite you should be able to kill him. Try to safe your flash, because when he uses his ult on you its best to flash out.



Diana is easy to poke her in early game because she is an melee champ. But why is she a counter then. From the moment she is level 6 and gets her ult. Then she can gap you with her ult an burst you death in a few seconds. Its best to poke her early game an get faster to level 6 than she. if you can kill her a few times before she is level 6. IF you are a bit more feed then her you can build good magic recist to tank her burst. Then when she tries to get away you can kill her.

This is the skin who was released on same time with the champ. Her splasha rt is like a fire-demon zyra. Her thornspitter is like a litle dragon plant and her vinelasher is like a firedemon thorn. Her skin is nice in game and her splashart to. this skin also cost 1350 RP

The newly released Haunted Zyra skin does not only affect you're looks, but also your plants. Your thorn spitter become a dark/demonlike thorn spitter, your vinelasher becomes a sort of demon/root hand. This is a very nice skin with nice new looks for zyra. the current price is 1350 RP.
