Quoted:
Text sigs are the best, obviously.

This oddly feels like sarcasm

eghem

@my text, I wasn't actually gonna submit this. I played around with stuff until I kind of liked it and then when I did I decided I might as well submit it after slapping on some text. Was originally going with one of her quotes but went with the first thing that popped into my head. The font was used in a previos sig of mine and I just went with it. Pretty lazy on that part, I'll admit. I think the placement is fine though ˇwˇ

1. Test0ML's sig: I like it. If I'd change anything about it that'd probably be the color stuff. The left of the sig is too orange-red compared o like.. the rest of it :P I'd add a gradient or photo filter or both + maybe exposure to blend the colors and maybe emphasize the focal more since the left of the signature overshadows the render a bit in my opinion. I wouldn't have put the render right in the middle, it's generally best to put it either left or right and if you want it to be in the center I think you ought to put some rext next to it.

2. XeresAce's sig: I think all the light is overcasting the render. You need a border or if you have one you need to make it more obvious :P I wouldn't have put the render right in the middle and instead I would've rotated it a bit so the girl is looking up or straight and put the render left or right. Would add text too since it seems a bit -bland- without it.

3. Bludes' sig: I don't understand why you put the eh white webby things over fizz but not his weapon :P I wouldn't put stuff over the focal (the fizz render) and I think the render is too small. I assume you made it smalled since generally they aren't that small.... wait... I get it now lal The crack's made by Fizz's weapon haha clever! It's pretty cool then LOL

5. YayaFTW's sig: Like it. The light and colors are really pleasing to the eye. Might be a bit too -simple- for me. I like stuff happening in sigs d: I'd make the border bit more obvious and maybe tilt the render to the right a bit.

6. Shadow_Light's sig: I kinda like it. Nice colors and render placement is pretty good but I'd probably move it a bit to the left. I think your sig should be bigger in height though, it seems a bit stuffed/ cut off.

7. DR34MK1LL3R's sig: I don't like the colors very much. Since you overlayed the border it maked the center bottom of the sig seem red which doesn't fit into the color scheme. Most of your sig is beige and the text is white and I don't like that. I don't think the render should be in the center despite knowing what you were aiming for. The text should be in a different place, color and a different font is preferable too.

8. mastrer1000's sig: While I like the colors I think the render is too like... bland. It's kinda blurry and it's too small in my opinion. I don't like the text or the color of it and the "quote" is kinda meh in my opinion d:

9. The_Nameless_Bard's sig: I like the concept of the sig. In my opinion the right part of the sig is a bit -too- dark. Would've added a (bigger) border.

10. fashionablellama's sig: It looks fine but it seems like you didn't do a lot :P Not meant to be offensive or anything :[ What I mean is that it looks like you took a picture and added the texture thing and change some things (filters, light, exposure kinda stuff) and that's it. I could be wrong, I don't really know what you actually did with it :P
edit: I forgot about Hogo's. I like it but it's a bit too stuffy in my opinion.

/effort

Those are all my personal opinions anyway. I'm not sayin you should do any of the things I suggested unless you agree with 'em :3!

yea, I realized after looking at mine while awake (I made it on 3.5 hours of sleep while sick, so it's got more than a few errors) that the shadows were too stark. I'm gonna try to fade them out and lighten them up a little when I get home.

it doesn't have a border, I just couldn't make a border look right with it...but I'll play with that later.

EDIT: better?

LOVING that you guys have been providing each other feedback and the chance to improve :3 +rep to those who have done so (if I can, some of you I have already capped the +rep for). Here is my feedback:

Test: I think the texture may be a little too sharp. Maybe try lowering the opacity. Colouring the clothing red is pretty cool, but you could control that a little with some erasing, to ensure it's only where you want it to be.

Xeres: I really like yours. My own problem is that there is so much white. The textured background looks so pretty blue, and I find it a shame that there isn't much of it to look at. Her hand is also completely missing due to the whiteness.

Bludes: Love the inguinity of this signature. How he's breaking through the ice. Really cool. My only suggestion would be to sharpen the blade and blur the rest, so there's a depth of focus. Right now it looks like his eye is at the same height as the blade.

Maw: I like everything about this sig (the character you chose, the splatter brushes, the opacity of the texture, and even the text and text placement) except the colour. It seems a little washed out.

Yaya: I'm not sure what you've done to this besides apply the texture to the background, and maybe used Topaz? I like the simplicity of it.

Shadow: Love the flow in this signature, and the ornate border, which suits/matches the sword. My only complaint is that it is so dark/bright. Try following these steps to evening out your colour balance:
> ctrl+alt+shift+e
> Image > Adjustments > Colour Balance (or ctrl+b)
> Fix the shadows first - as your sig is yellow, try making the shadows blue.
> Fix the midtones next - try adding hints of red/magenta.
> Fix highlights last - your sig is very yellow, so finish off with increasing the yellow.
> Press OK
> Now if you like it completely, leave it. But if you don't, try lowing the opacity, or changing the layer style to something like HUE, COLOUR, or SOFT LIGHT etc.
> Next (optional), add a Curves adjustment and play around with that. You can set this layer to screen, for example.

Dream: I like the choice of subject matter, and the quote. That said, there are a few things I don't like about your signature. For one, your render needs an inside 1px stroke, or drop shadow, as you can see the white pixels. You tried to deal with that with some bluring on his left shoulder, that approach is fine too. I think the text could be "compressed" - by that, I mean on two lines and not placed in the center of the signature. Lastly, the border is a bit too bright, I think the sig would benefit from a darker border.

Mastrer: Love what you've done with the colours! It's psychadelic :D Don't like the border or the text font choice. I think you'd be better off changing the text and actually putting a real quote in there.

Nameless: I enjoy looking at this piece. The colours are lovely, I like the slow/rain sort of effect going on, and the depth of focus is a bonus. I think you could move the render to the left a little more and put the finger on the third, so there's less empty space to the left.

Hogo: I don't know where to look with your signature, there's just so much going on. I love the border, and I love the colour, but the render just gets lost in all the effects you have going on. It also looks like she's a floating torso.

Llama: I like yours the most. It's so simple, but pretty. I have no criticism. It's very whimsical to me.

I'd like to change my submission again, I changed some things around xD

Things I tried that didn't look good:
-Removing most of the white, the sig didn't look well blended and it felt a lot less powerful.
-Tilting the render; didn't work because then I'd have to zoom in and I couldn't make it look good with the cloning tool :<
-Decreasing the brightness so you could see her hand was a total fiasco xD

So I ended up distorting and playing around with the brightness and contrast and overall I'm happy with the result~
Sadly when I got rid of a lot of the glow I couldn't keep the shiny blue color and had to go for a darker tone :/
Thanks to Koksei for the sig!

Erm based on your feedback, I changed my entry a bit (If that's allowed):

Lowered the opacity of the ****load of c4d's I had on the sig, and sorta removed the one on the left. Blurred her hand to make her face more of the focal point.

Feedback pls :3

The one that stood to me was mastrer's
The simplicity of the piece is great, and the colours really pop out at you. Best Quote Mobafire.

Second would have to be Nameless'
Again, it looks so simple yet so amazing. The blue really forces you to intake every other aspect of the piece, such as that rainy / sparky effect emanating around.

Overall, this has been an excellent round and they all look fantastic!

Interesting that you mention that since I changed the color stuff literally right before submitting cause I thought the original scheme iunno... ._. I'm still not sure I like one better than the other

EDIT: better?

Yeah I like that one better

Thank you for your feedback!
I've changed some things and added now blur effect. I had to search for a tutorial
because I've never did this. :s
I don't know if the result is better or even worse than the original one.
Any opinions?
