[/quote] Rammus and Shen are more a like than you think, they are both tanks! their goals are both the same in team fights and they both have a taunt skill, I'm a very good Rammus player and while I might be a lot better with Shen than Rammus I picked up Rammus easily because hes similar to shen. Doesn't matter about the rating, check the view and voting difference[/quote]

Ask any veteran on this site. Rammus and Shen are nothing alike once you get past their roles as tanks. Shen has no speed steroid. Rammus does. Rammus has no dash. Shen does. Rammus' taunt is single-target. Shen's is an AoE skill-shot. Rammus has a defense steroid. Shen has a shield. Shen has a single-target life tap. Rammus has an AoE collision-based slow. Shen has an ally-shielding teleport ultimate. Rammus has an AoE ultimate. Shen has an on-hit boosting Passive, Rammus has a stat-exchange type passive. Tons of difference, only furthering the evidence that Rammus and Shen are played very differently. Just because their goals are the same does not mean they do the same things to accomplish them. If having similar categorical skills made it justifiable to get the same items/spells then: -Olaf is tanky dps scales off HP with Vicious strikes, so Frozen Mallet is good. -Therefore, since Malphite is tanky dps AND has a passive scales off HP, so getting Frozen Mallet on him is just as good. That leads me to think that means you don't play Rammus as much. That also makes me think you have not "mastered" Rammus as thoroughly as "Bguggs" who made a guide that even caught the attention of a veteran on this site. Therefore, I don't think you're qualified to talk about what's best for Rammus. <- Which is further supported by how a majority of the notable posters in this thread don't agree with you.[/quote]
