Games 68-70: Getting real tired of your ****, Silver

Well, I mean, I could try to get better at something else, but I honestly really dislike playing carries and, on top of that, am not particularly good at most of them. I could try jungling, given that tank junglers are something I can actually play, but I doubt that'd really help much. I'm definitely skilled enough to get out if I try hard enough, but I'm clearly not doing enough to do it right now. I'll just have to work harder at it until I find something that works or give up. Knowing me, the latter is more likely, but meh.
I'm kinda getting tired of feeling like I wasted an awful lot of time getting "good" at support when it clearly won't get me a damn thing, but being frustrated by that won't fix anything. It doesn't help that I happen to be in a poor mood right now because I feel like **** for other reasons entirely, so now is probably not a great time for me to discuss much of anything because I'm feeling rather pessimistic atm.

From personal experience it's hard to carry yourself out of low elo with pure support champions (unless you have awesome mechanical skills) since the skill gap between ADC in low elo is often very big.
If you're looking to carry as a support you should play supports with huge snowball potential and skip the pure support items except
Sightstone and the starting support item and just go full dmg.
DMG Champions that can support and have snowball potential:
Morgana
Zyra
Vel'Koz
Karma
Orianna
Nidalee
Lulu
Lux
Annie
Tanky snowball champions that also can support:
Maokai
Nautilus
Cho'Gath
Low elo is about stomping your lane, take tower and then repeat on the next lane. Easiest way to do this is to do dmg and overwhelm your enemies.

I'm trying to be aggressive enough and really beat the **** out of people (hence the higher kill counts as of recently), but it's the opposite of how I tend to play and I'm not doing it well enough yet. I am improving though, so at least there's that.
I used Leona as my main climbing tool to diamond last season. If you have good mechanics with her you can pull off really GoodPlays by yourself with your combos in lane and if your adc has a brain he can pick up the free kills. After the laning phase it's all about catching people out with your E, flash Q and ult which is really easy in SoloQ because of how uncoordinated people are (especially in low elo). However like you said if you get people who are just plain ******ed or don't want to win there's no helping it (one of the main reasons I stopped playing support)

Thanks to FatelBlade, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, TheNamelessBard, GrandmasterD, aviseras and koksei for the awesome signatures
Well Thresh has the same idea what I meant more was that if you have good mechanics on champions like Thresh and Leona that can CC combo and catch people out I found it was easy to climb with

I admit hearing "you just need to change ALL the things" is starting to make me more frustrated. If other people can carry with the same **** I'm playing (it's not like it doesn't happen and it's also not like I'm utter trash with any of it), then there's no reason I can't do it. Sure, it might take me a bit longer, but I'm certain I can get there eventually.
But yea, I don't like
Leona (nor have I done much with her since maybe season 2) and my
Thresh mechanics are fairly decent, so it seems silly to switch if I can do the same thing with him.
But yea, I don't like
