So, I got to play with Gosu Pepper and Diamondprox today. (Diamond smurf on lee)
They were surprisingly kind, considering the last time I played with Gosu, he raged like a kid on CoD.

All of the Jayce's I've seen lately have been maxing E first since it's essentially free trades ;o

Many champions can force Jayce into a duel in melee form when he goes for the trade, that's why you want to max Q to poke on most melee lanes. But ye, it all depends on the matchup if you want to max Q or E first.
