I was trying to avoid that. Tryouts are a huge time commitment and a lot of work. I figured it would just be easier to set a high elo req and just pick the 5-10 people that met the requirement.

I don't want to put in a bajillion hours spectating 1100 players to pick the ones that are 'potential plat players if they played ranked'
I want to put in the time improving the existing team, not weeding through dozens of random people. watching someone play 1 game is not an accurate way to determine skill. It's less accurate than solo queue elo, which in itself is pretty inaccurate.

if i was gonna make a team i wouldnt watch everyone from mobafire play a game as a tryout considering there are tons of members and a game can last between 20-100 minutes and some people have good games and bad games sometimes so youd have to watch 3 or more games to see if they person is good enough

So. dill. how about you read the previous posts before you post? I mentioned that watching 1 game was not a good way to determine skill.
I don't have the time to watch 50 people play multiple games each. I suppose we could just have 5v5 all moba games, but moba members are notorious for being unreliable (see inhouses), and I can spectate, and pick players I feel had potential. I don't know. Nobody seems to want this very much.
With that being said,
