** Cooldown increased to 16 from 10 (don't make it completly useless)
** Base Heal decreased to 55/110/165/220/275 from 60/120/180/240/300(all said already)
** Armor Buff increased to 25/50/75/100/125 from 20/35/50/65/80
** Armor buff duration increased to 5 from 4
** Cast range increased to 750 from 650

* Infuse
** AP ratio increased to .8 from .6 (Again, don't make the AP-Ratio to weak)
** Cooldown reduced to 10 from 15
** Silence duration compressed to 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 from 1/1.5/2/2.5/3
** Now grants 1,4 of the complete mana to soraka on selfcast. (a bit taric-like, soraka is very mana-heavy)


* Wish
** Wish AP ratio reduced to 0.65 from 1.3 (I think, it still would be too much)
** Base heal reduced to 200/300/400 from 200/320/440
** Mana cost reduced to 100/175/250 from 200/275/350


Also buff the base stats of soraka, which are worst ever...



That would be my soraka changes.

You are wrong. If you're playing support you're there for utility. Heals happen to be utility, but not the kind that Riot wants to push the game forward with. They're nerfing heals but giving her a much larger defensive buff for herself and the heal target. With 40% CDR that's 40 armor every 4.2 seconds for 3 seconds. Sona will still be viable after this rework. It just means people will have to update their guides.

Ah so they are nerfing the heals huh? I always thought they were okay, I mean it didn't seem gamebreaking imo.

Okay maybe Nidalee's, but hey she is a nuke that heal won't be getting nerfed.

I think I know why RIOT is nerfing heals!!!

OK, heres the thing:

Some great MOBAs like HoN and DotA 2 are going to draw attention, and RIOT is afraid of losing players.
Both HoN and DotA dont have like a support that only heals and shields, the games are fast and all champions can fight. RIOT's idea is making LoL closer to the other games: they are nerfing the utility part to make supports stronger.

As I said, I only think this is the reason, but let's see what Phreak'll say.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that there are no real buffs to compensate for the massive nerfs to the heals.

I read a bunch of Shurelia posts saying that the Sona bugfix was a buff, even though Sona was always meant to have that damage. -_-

0.4 isn't bad for that damage, but 0.5 is more fitting (and on the high side (as in HIGH AP ratio)).

The AP-ratio of Starcall should not be to high, because it is aoe^^. If you hit all 5, the ap-ratio would be 2,5^^.

I'm about 100% sure that they are nerfing heals because they don't like how it makes champions less wary of damage.

At the same time, they are removing oracles for the purpose of ward sweeping, as it makes games last much longer.

Basically, they want the game to go slightly faster, and be more exciting.

They are trying to make the support role feel more epic.
