I think it's really cool when RIOT decides to update older champions. From the looks of it, they're not changing anything about him, just updating his mechanics to the current game. Touch-ups like this are always welcome as we don't want the older champions to become outdated. Good changes, and I approve.

What WhattayaBrian said means is they're just making him more enemy-friendly.
Like how you can tell casters are more vulnerable if they're low on mana, you'll be able to track his Bloodlust usage through a resource now.
Pretty much no change to his actual game-play.
