I played over 35 games with Jinx in total between PBE and live games. But I also think it's too soon to write a guide about her. I'm planning on doing so but I don't think it's worth the haste.
Like, some people are really insisting on how good
Runaan's Hurricane is on her. I personally think that it's a noobtrap item. I don't care if it gives her more splash power. It's a waste of item slot. You lose movement speed (which she so dearly needs), crit (so it cripples her DPS) for... a bit more of Attack Speed (she scales poorly with items due to her 1% level scaling) and one-shotting creepwaves?
Also I've realised that
Tear of the Goddess based builds are not that viable, you don't need or want to depend on
Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher all day.
Also I'm not completely sure on maxing Zap before Switcheroo. At least for me, I think Q gives more playstyle flexibility. And Zaps poking power is more noticeable once you build some AD items (since it has ******edly high scaling).

Yeah and range is so overrated (hint:
Caitlyn). :P
Precisely because it scales so well and its base damage is just okay, you don't need to max it first. Scaling comes when you put items on it.
Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher isn't meant to do longterm poke. One AA just costs 20 mana. You can quickly switch into rocket mode, poke with an AA when the enemy comes to last-hit and run back. This is easily done with some practice and it's very efficient poke. Right from level 4 you can play almost like a
Caitlyn would (since you get 625 AA range).
It's also harder to deny you (ywhen playing vs lane bullies) the longer range you have. You can safely last-hit a couple of minions with the extra range.
For duels you want the extra Attack Speed. 1.7 with just
Berserker's Greaves? Yes, please.
Also, if you're trying to max W first why would you ever want to build
Blade of the Ruined King? You're contradicting yourself. BT gives her 100 AD while BotRK gives her 25. And she doesn't scale that well with Attack Speed.
I'm not saying W maxing isn't a valid playstyle, just not the only one - and in my opinion, it isn't the most efficient either.

this guy said it himself, another point is with trading, whats going to be better for trades one W or the stats that Q gives? this is for long term trades lasting more than a few seconds
all you said was to give a better build and i gave a better build, specially with the skill order you said
also you dont really need the slow that early, you do have a 1.5 second snare along with a wtf% speed boost on kills
and for under turrets using a rocket AA is better than using W because it cant get blocked by minions
think of W like viegars

and i know vayne doesnt have exclusive rights to BotRK but she pretty much does have the rights to rushing it (except maybe varus but he can rush a bunch of items) they even changed lucians recommended build so people would stop rushing BotRK on him, and any time i see a draven rush BotRK my head hurts

W is... way too visually obvious. It's even visible when you cast from non-warded brush which irritates me.
On topic though, the problem with Q max is that it doesn't increase your damage one bit unless you're in an extended fight with minigun. Then again, I've ALWAYS maxed a nuke in lane on literally every single ADC who isn't
Kog'Maw, so it may be habit speaking.
