in the patch preview Riot said they're nerfing Wriggle's Lantern by removing the extra damage proc but boosting the lifesteal. Can't you still make a ghetto one without combining the item just keeping madred's razor and Vampiric Scepter?

I believe they are changing the razors too. If not they will probably do so fast when they notice that the problem hasn't been solved.

Just clearing things up, they are removing the ability for the wriggles proc to proc lifesteal, and in turn, increasing the lifesteal by 4%.
I don't believe that madreds + vamp scepter would create the same effect after the fix.

All this could be fixed by simply changing the item effect to have a 20% chance to inflict 500 /magic damage/ on the targeted minion instead of physical damage. Silly Riot and doing things the hard way.

I believe they are making that proc un-physical overall. So both razors and lantern wont benefit from it.

The item itself is still very viable, it now has 18% life steal which is a decent boost. Still one of my favorite items in-game.

They mentioned a change to Wriggles but not a change to Razors - it will be interesting to see if Riot forgets to change Razors as well.

If they forget ... They will prob fix it really fast.

Overall a mutch needed nerf anyway. That lantern on ezreal was just to funny ^^
