I'm not comparing abilities, or play styles for either. All I am stating is that I do not care for Xerath, I prefer Twitch.
The only way I can see is the small tag line of I'm sticking with twitch, it was an unnecessary comment and my loving relationship with Twitch. Not a comparison.

Hmm, his abilities except his ultimate don't seem to give the feel of an artillery shot...I just really wanted the sastsifaction in seeing tiny little explosions blossom across the screen after I used my burst.

It's how the math works out if you have the 15% from masteries and the 40% from void staff.

...that's exactly what his ult is. A barrage of 3 little explosions and you can be firinig long-*** range lasers as well.
And yeah the abyssal aura is bad since you never want to be in range for it.
