Manga/Anime You Read/Watch

I'm gonna avoid linking anything here as to not become like Cuddles, but search for 5 Centimeters Per Second on TPB and it's the (1080p) [@Home] version.[/quote]

I also believe that this supermode was suppsoed to be temporary and under total control of the huamn mind, but something went wrong. In other words, this evolution has been caused by other humans. Science is most likely involved in this. Also, I'd like to think Eren's dad knows where the titans come from. From a logical point of view, Titans kinda share the same traits with human beings, which backs up my theory. - 2, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12 reminded me a lot of [url=http://myanimelist.net/anime/30/Neon_Genesis_Evangelion]Neon Genesis Evangelion[/url], which greatly helped me set up my theory. The pilot goes inside the plug, which gets inserted in the back of the EVA's neck. He is put in some kind of survival liquid and his state of mind is monitored 24/7 because there's a risk the EVA absorbs the pilot/goes berserk. I can't help but think that this is exactly what happens in SnK. When Eren is reverting from titan form to human form, he always comes out of the back of the titan's neck. Also, his hands and feet seems to be always fused with the back of the neck for a few seconds before the body starts disintegrating, as if he was "piloting" it. The only difference here is that there is no entry plug. What backs up this theory is the fact that Eren was on the verge of getting absorbed before Armin came to the rescue. - 10, 11 and 12 leads me to think that a Eren's Titan form is created from Sunlight and Air, along with some component in his blood. This reaction is triggered by self injury. - 4 and 8 proves to me that titans hold some kind of grudge towards humans. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Final Theory (TL;DR)] A titan is a human who went into the "supermode" state but got absorbed by the titan form. Through science, and in hope of ending the eternal wars between tribes and countries, humans have found a way to materialize a titan body from sunlight, heat and air and some scientific component injected in the human's blood. This titan form was "pilotable" and the titan's nerve center was the back of his neck. The scientific experience went wrong as the million test subjects could not revert back to their original human form (this is from where the grudge probably comes from). Eren Jaegar is the first human to successfully control his titan form and not get absorbed by it. This leads to believe Eren's dad was the one to finish the titan form's researches and come out with a final version of it. He then injected it into his own son (if you can notice, Titan Eren is well built and very very strong whereas the other titans seems...incomplete) [/spoiler] Thanks for reading :P I suppose there's a lot of holes in it, but after I finish the anime and pick up the manga from chapter 33 onwards, I'll probably come up with a more correct theory. But I don't wanna reveal this theory yet, because hints of this are as far as 40 chapter into the manga. (anime ends at ~33) Point number 6 is also a part of my theory. This is probably the main point of my other theory that ties nicely into my first theory (the one I'm not telling you). 7. I don't think it is. This is brought up later in the manga. They don't tell you much, but it doesn't seem all that important in the big picture. 10. Probably has to do with their way of procuring energy. They take it from the air in some way and chemical reactions that give them energy also produce a lot of heat, which turns into vapor. A certain titan also seems to be able to control this vapor :) 13. Probably because Eren needs some direct way of connecting to the living tissue of the titan. And cutting nerves is probably the easiest way. Read chapter 12 when you're done with the anime for one part I believe hints at it. The scale of things. They wouldn't use that many test subjects if they didn't know it was safe.. Heck, even a hundred test subjects is a rather large amount, millions is just impossible.. [quote]Thanks for reading :P I suppose there's a lot of holes in it, but after I finish the anime and pick up the manga from chapter 33 onwards, I'll probably come up with a more correct theory.[/quote] When you go read the manga you should probably read chapter 12 (to get the real story of episode 11), chapter 18.5 (which wasn't in the anime) and then start reading from chapter 32, so that you get the real chain of events going forward, seeing as the anime fucked up episode 24 and 25 completely. That is if you don't wanna read the entire thing. The manga isn't as padded out as the anime, so it won't take you as much time to go through and the story doesn't play out chronologically in the manga either(like it does in the anime), so the pacing is way better. You also might spot quite a few instances of foreshadowing if you read the entire thing. In other words, we can approve the fact that only the colossal titan, the armored titan, Titan Eren and the female titan are "real weapons" (Well built, intelligent, very strong) and the rest are defectuous weapons.
