The competitive version of Pokemon is the card game.

Not really.

The card game is fairly competitive, and fairly well balanced, but not even close to the competitiveness of the online community of Pokemon.

Should you walk in to bar and scream: "You guys are idiots because drinking is bad for you!" ?

no, because that's not true. why are you putting the physical health of a human being over their mental health?
consider these scenarios.
someone drinks, he makes friends while drinking, he dies at 60 due to his drinking problems.
that person doesn't drink, he doesn't make the friends he would, he enters a depression and commits suicide at 20.

knowing this would you consider drinking smart or stupid?

Actually, alcohol can make depressed people even more depressed, so that makes them both mentally as physically broken.

So knowing that what you just said doesn't make drinking smart.
Alcohol is actually a drug, but people allow it in society because it has been there for such a long time and, like you mentioned, can help certain people in social events.

Alcohol can be just as bad as it can be good for some people.
And for some others, it can only bring bad things.

Drinking surely isn't smart, but it is normal, so, it isn't stupid either ;D

Competitively, I'm not really sure about that. I know that there have been many tournaments for tcg, but most of those haven't been very competitive, although that's probably changed today. I'm not denying it's more popular then the online community, but I'm pretty sure it's not more competitive.

it's clearly aimed at kids and made for kids. do you know why the pokemon don't die and it has no blood? because it's for kids.

What he meant to say is that:
The target demographic for most Pokemon games is kids.

Now, he went and said it in the clumsiest way imaginable and kept being unclear and clumsy with his statements, but that does not excuse the refusal to accept anything said by him. Not just him, but everybody started unnecessary tangents and mudslinging.

You guys should all be ashamed of yourselves.
