How old are you really?
Because the way you've been acting I can't help but think you're one of those 'whiny kids' yourself.

Source or get out. We clearly can't trust you on this.

Dude,....
if you can't stop posting false fanboyish infos, at least try to read what ppl wrote:
PS4: Pay to play Online MP. Except that everything free.
Not that they are gonna be great, but you're also entitled to one free game per month Sony decides upon.
XboxO: Pay to get "Gold" Membership which allows you to play Online MP AND is most likely to unlock features a normal Silver acc can't access.
And nooooo they didn't "change" any price, 60 was the amount they announced. Those 100 bucks - IF you didnt pull that number out of your arse - were nothing more than speculation from the player base.

the xbox one looks like a scam.
but my opinion on console wars and this whole console warrior vs pc snob things stands the same. I care about games not platforms. I like my pc because of lol, dota 2, and various mmos/ but I will still buy a wiiu because you know what I don't care if pc gamers think its inferior I want to play monster hunter, pikmin 3, and the new smash bros (with megaman <3). im not dissing anyone. not pc or console (I consider myself mix platform in regards to liking both :))
im just saying let people enjoy what they want to enjoy... except for xbox one cause that's a scam :<

Shadowshyguy, buying a console for its exclusives makes a lot of sense. Anyone who says otherwise is full of themselves.
The Xbone isn't a scam, really. It's just a large US company acting like a large US company. Go figure, that means they're being terrible for consumers.
As for why Microsoft has been making these decisions... A history buff friend of mine has an interesting theory as to why the current AAA gaming market is working the way it is. Just bear with me for a moment. Back in the 1960's in the US, when TV was starting up, Hollywood (where US movies come from) was really worried, because Hollywood thought that TV was going to just show movies all the time and destroy Hollywood. So the movie studios got together and asked, "What can we do that TV can't?" And their answer was, "Be BIGGER." So Hollywood studios spent a lot of money on a bunch of really big films, like Ben Hur, trying to make huge spectacles that TV couldn't compare to. And the result was that movies were even less profitable than before.
This is, my friend says, what's going on with the big game publishers right now. They're looking at mobile games, free-to-play games, and indie games, and asking themselves, "What can AAA games do that our competition can't?" And their answer seems to be, "Be BIGGER." So publishers and devs are spending a ton of money on AAA titles, which is resulting in AAA titles not being as profitable. I think that a lot of people have identified already why spending more money doesn't mean you make more money, so I don't think I have to explain that.
This trend, I think, is part of what's going through Microsoft's metaphorical head with the Xbone. Microsoft is trying to figure out what is going to make their console special and decided to play up the other things the Xbone can do. This backfired, of course, but that's not the point. What all of Microsoft's missteps show is that Microsoft is really worried about the future of their gaming console but don't really know what to do about it, so they're throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Like every part of the AAA video game industry atm...
Problem is:
IF they really have zero clue about what to do to get a serious updrift again, they would deserve to go bankrupt...
Since even a single gamer like myself got way better ideas compared to what the big guys were showing for more than the last 5 years...

US$60-ish is right about what controllers were for the PS3, anyway, so this isn't a substantial change in price.
Thanks for the link, Darcurse.
