Perhaps the fear wore off... I don't know.
Someone needs to test this for me xD
Although realistically, you could still just CC him to death - Blinding Dart would kind of work.
Also keep in mind that champions are still bound by their mana and that if someone like Trynd focuses on getting 100% CDR, he doesn't have the damage to back up his survivability anymore.

Endurance over damage. He can even chase his foes onto the spawn itself and continue hitting them until they'll eventually die. And he can always get at least one Infinity Edge, which alone allows him to deal an acceptable amount of damage considering that he has as much time to apply it as possible.

Tryndamere can cast his ult through silence, stuns, and suppresses.
I need someone to test this - can he cast it when taunted or feared?
It is absolutely possible to cast it through taunt since I've seen a Tryndamere cast it to prevent two-hit-killing himself while taunted by Rammus with Thornmail, even before the effect wore off. (Though it did make killing him afterwards very easy due to the shortened duration)
It sounds logical for it to be castable through fear as well, but I'll test it some day (whenever Fiddle is free to play again).

How about scaling down all damage/heal output and buff effect/duration the more CDR you stack (over 40%)? (For example, if the cooldown on Tryndamere's ulti was only ~10-20 seconds, the effect would drop to 1-2 seconds as well, making it useless to spam so often)
That way you have to decide between fewer, hard-hitting spells or much more less-hitting spells.
Personally I would still go for the 100% CDR since after years and years of highrate Ragnarok gameplay I'm used to spamming my buttons >5 times per second.

The thing that a lot of people aren't realizing is that a lot of ultimates have just as many counters in this no-cap metagame.
Fiddlesticks could ult constantly, but he'd also be channeling constantly. Also note that any sort of silence/stun/taunt would shut him down. Twitch would be hurt pretty bad by any kind of Blinding Shot from Teemo. Ashe Arrow spam is stopped by, say, Sivir's shield or Gangplank's Remove Scurvy. Karthus's ult is negated by Soraka's heal.
