Just popped into my head the other night, haven't given it much though, ran any numbers, or tested it yet.

He's quite a bit squishier now since the changes, and he would benefit a lot from the health, the fully relaible slow would be amazing on him, and he would benefit from the ap as well.

One downside I can think of is that this might waste the slow from triforce, but I can't help but feel I need a more reliable slow on jax, and I don't feel like he needs a frozen mallet.

Like I said I haven't tested this at all, but was wondering what everyone thought of it, and whether you think it could work.

Frozen Mallet is the most reliable slow you will ever get. I'd get Trinity, Mallet OR Rylai's. Might depend a bit on the enemy team comp too as to whether you build more AP or AD since his ultimate scales with each of them differently.

I'm no expert on Jax, but I'd probably go either Trinity for a high damage build or a Mallet for a defensive utility build. Depends on whether you need to tank for your carry or be a main damage threat. Rylai's seems too reliant on cooldowns to me, though I'm sure you could use it if you wanted to.
Thanks to Fatelblade for the sig!

I don't really like fm on jax, which is why I suggested this. Empower is only on a 3 sec cd I'm pretty sure, so the reliance on cd's shouldn't be a problem for him o:

I dunno, I'm still unsure, it's just a thought, I'll try it later :P

I would just troll and get this build:
Frozen Mallet
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Atma's Impaler
Hextech Gunblade
Boots of Mobility
Trinity Force
just to troll people and have insane amounts of health and perma-slow. I'm no jax expert either, but it looks funny enough.

If you get both Frozen Mallet and TF, you only lose the slow passive of the Phage component. As you don't build TF only for that, in fact I build it for eveything but the slow, I don't see why people are so afraid to have 2 items having a slow ... One of those items doesnt even have a reliable one.
I'd say that building a FM after a TF is like improving (in efficency and in reliability) the slow and taking some HP + AD

I'm not even sure if a W make Rylai proc ?

LOL the build i gave is ALMOST how i build my Volibear XD except i trade in the hextech for a frozen heart, the boots for merc treads, and the tri-force for Spirit Visage, which i get first. Its pretty damn funny.

Rylais is good on Jax :p

Mres + AP + slow + health to go with your ult.

But Gunblade is better because it's essentially the same, but with more.

Used to get Rylai's over FM everytime on the old one, since he did rather well on full AP with Hextech, IMO way better than AD.

But the new one.. AP is still doable but I guess not preferable in terms of best build.
First thought was that AP could still help out the new Jax dealing with his weaker early (lvl 1-5), maybe I'll give it another try.
