He kind of just died off, I hardly see him in any game anymore. Where does he fit in the current meta, team comps ect..How should I be building him? I realize I've owned him since released and played maybe 4 games with him..lol

Olaf's quite snowbally in general and has a dangerous jungle. While he's fast, he can't really gank reliably unless your enemies are really stupid and without early kills he seriously falls off in late-game. Overall it makes a lot more sense to pick someone like Gangplank or Lee Sin as a melee DPS.

He's really REAALLY weak mid game, and skill doesn't make up for it.

He has two strong moments early and that's it.

Early game when you have lvl 4-5 Q.

And then again when you have max E.

And then he sucks. For like the rest of the game.

UNTIL.

You have end game gear.

My end Game Olaf right now:

Boots, Trinity, Atma's, Force of Nature, Warmogg's, (Last item random defensive 90% of games, Randuin's, Banshee's, another Force, GA, etc.)

End game he is stronger than almost any other champion because of his kit; his burst vrs squishies, and his inability to be CC'd.

His place in the meta is an Offtanky DPS type, and his function (This might sound silly) is to run past the entire opposing team, (That's why you need end gear and almsot full tank) and burst down the squishy champions. Take your pick of Support, AD carry, AP, whatever you like. Since they can't CC you, they'll have to run away or die, allowing your team to DPS whatever they please while their DPS either dies or runs away.

Olaf is decent.

Only true problem is: he's easy to kite. If you miss your Undertow, the enemy can henceforth lead you around by the nose.

And like Jebus said: His jungle is fairly risky. You need to stay at low health to do well.

They need to rework olaf imo. I think they should fix his mana costs.. I have a feeling he would be a better solo top champion.

^His mana costs seem fine with his mana and regen.
Rammus is FAR worse off in the mana department.

They should rework his passive.

His passive should also provide increasing move speed, up to 20% at 1% HP. Would allow him to chase AND escape better and play somewhat similar to Singed, runnning away at low health and then regrouping with teammates to spring an ambush on the greedy sacks of **** chasing him (read: Warwick.)

His mana is a problem when you're spamming his spells like you should. He really should operate on Fury. Mana makes no sense for a berserker.

Thanks to Jsta for the sig image.

That's pretty true ^

They could just make his W an Udyr turtle.

I love his passive. It's what makes him Olaf.

I like most things about Olaf. I think just a slight stat bonus and perhaps a rework of E would put him where he wants to be.

I don't think it needs to deal damage to himself anymore.

That would buff early mid, and nerf all of his end game x_x
