League of Legends (LoL) Question: Eve...

    Eve...

From my knowledge, she have a rather good clearing speed due to the new smite, no real CC beside red buff and ult, good damage and teamfight capability, worst of all, invi. She would go up to a lane, look for the pinky if exist, then throughly destroy it before deciding to camp or to roam another lane. So is there anyway to deal with the pest, supposedly you can ban her?

Alright, from what I can tell from vlogs of Oddone and personal knowledge/experience, there are 3 real ways to counter Eve, but have drawbacks.

    1) Most obvious, using Vision Wards. Put them in a bush and you'll be able to see her coming. The drawback is that it costs more than a sight ward and everyone on the other team will try to kill it. Destroying it is arguably easier than destroying Green wards, since it's completely visible and you can't just follow your lane opponent everywhere. Also, there's nothing really stopping her from breaking your wards either -_-

    2) Use sight wards on her camps. She will be in combat and out of stealth while she's farming the jungle, and unless she uses the red trinket or her own pinks she can't get rid of them, and you're able to track her movements. The downside of this is that if you're a squishy support and she's fed, if she finds you you die :p Plus there's only so much you can do alone.

    3) Counterpick with tanky early duelists such as Shyvana, Lee, etc. Hunt her down in her jungle and shut her down. Risky in Solo Queue because of lack of coordination. No real explanation needed here.

    4) Pick a 4 man bruiser comp, or pick extremely tanky champions. That way even if she DOES walk into your lane, you're tanky enough to walk away. i.e. Renekton top, Gragas mid, Jarvan jungle, Taric + ADC bot. No explanation needed here either, just be tanky enough to survive her burst and kill her in return. Prevent her from snowballing and watch her be underfarmed because the jungle camps alone are simply not enough for an assassin.

    5) As with against any other assassin, bring hard CC and burst. Lock her down and kill her. Easy.

What are these "sight wards" you are talking about?

I don't know if I have been playing against a lot of bad Eves or this actually works, but if you build Rengar in the right way, and approach her at the right time, you can get an easy counter while either stealthed in the brush or while your R is activated

One of the main reasons that Evelynn is that she has her invisibility that allows her to pick off targets that think that they're safe.

From personal experience, the best way to deal with Evelynn is by trying to screw her over during the early game while she's rather weak, and by placing Vision Wards properly.

An early counter-jungle on her can set her behind very easily because her dueling is not very strong at all early game. Champions that would be most effective at abusing her in her own jungle are really any mobile bruisers or assassins like Kha'Zix or Lee Sin. However, counter-jungling is very risky without being coordinated with your team; so, be very attentive to the position of the nearby enemy laners when counterjungling.

A less riskier way to deal with her in the early game is by counter-ganking her. The best way to set up a counter-gank is by putting yourself in the enemy jungler's shoes. If your mid laner and top laner are tower-hugging, then chances are the enemy jungler will not look to gank them (assuming they're not like 20 health or something). Additionally, if your bot lane is pushing past river, then the enemy jungler will likely try to pull off a gank bot lane. Now you as a jungler should make your way towards that part of the jungle, and put yourself in a good position to respond. One of the main reasons that counter-ganking is really effective is that most people over commit when they believe they have a significant advantage.

Vision Wards of course are a must against an Evelynn and everyone should be purchasing them. Furthermore, placement of Vision Wards should be in areas that are somewhat defendable. Thus, do not place pink wards deep in enemy territory when lanes are getting shoved into tower.

Agony's Embrace has cc. that is her ult. other than that no cc besides red. good clearing speed but needs a good leash.

how do you deal with her? ban her...or buy pink ward. but you can only have 1 pink on field at a time. and anyone can clear your pink. so...ban her. also don't push lane too hard during lane phase. freeze it if possible. as you said she doesn't have a lot of cc so if you aren't pushed too far you should be able to escape unless she can burst you/delete you.

Her early clear is on the faster side.
Pinks are useless since she just finds and kills them.
Best Counterplay is straight up banning her or Sight Ward her camps, but that's pretty dangerous and expensive on its own.

her early clear is tough but it speeds up. i agree that pinks are still the way to go naturally especially in lane. i mean how else can you deal with her than that? counter-jungle early will work if you are jungle. plus at my elo...no one buys wards outside the trinket. *****es.

From what I've heard Eve isn't OP because she has trouble clearing the jungle. Invading her and/or utilizing strong duelists should work just fine. Pinks are still an effective way of dealing with her because even if she has to clear the ward, she will waste time that could've been spent farming instead. Clearing a pink ward by yourself generally takes about 6 seconds which is huge.
