Getting Aegis Assault rank 2 on level 8 will help with jungle clear due to its AoE. The basic order is Comet Spear first, then Aegis Assault and lastly Shield Vault. Note that you may take Shield Vault on lvl 2, so you can gank early and be able to 1v1 to the enemy jungler.
Jungle Route;
1. Red buff
2. Krugs
3. Raptors
4. Wolves
5. Scuttle Crab
6. Gank or do Blue buff
Alternatively take one side of your jungle then go back and grab your jungle item and as many health and/or mana pots as you can afford and then head back into the other side of your jungle.
A good rotation that lets you maximize your mana or your health is (and I am assuming that I get a leash from my duo lane).
Blue Side: (Max Mana)
1. Krugs - Smite on spawn
2. Raptors
3. Bramblebacks (Red) - Smite as late as possible
4. Look to Gank or Base
Red side: (Max Health)
1. Gromp - Smite on Spawn
2. Murk wolves
3. Sentinels (Blue) - Smite as late as possible
4. Look to Gank or Base
The downside of this method is that you leave your buffs up longer than the rotation that Embracing mentioned so it can give the opposing jungler more opportunities to mess with you. E.g. you might not want to do this against Nunu & Willump or Lee Sin.
Outside of the mechanics of jungling and clear efficiency, you should also get into the mindset of being a jungler, this is true with any jungler you use.
Realize your role on the team, which is to make the calls that result in objectives and fed carry's.
If you're going in for a gank in a lane you need to have some questions answered (no particular order):
- What am I trying to accomplish?
- Can I succeed?
- Where is the other jungler? Or where do I THINK he is?
- Will my laner have the capacity to follow through with the gank?
- Will the gold advantage help us win?
- What if the gank goes bad?
- What objective can I take as a result of this gank?
and there are plenty others
being a good jungler is more than simply clearing monsters and running into a lane to split some gold... it is about taking control of the lane, taking control of the map, and shutting down the enemy team.
And sometimes... you just have to bail on a feeding lane and put your money on the lane that is doing the best... gank for them, ward for them, get that carry as far ahead as you possibly can and make sure they are always in a position to come out on top (even if it means sacrificing yourself)
Blue side:
1. Krugs, smite big one, get help from your bot lane
2. Red, chug pot if necessary
3. Blue, chug pot if necessary, smite
4. Gank / clear more camps --> back
Purple side:
1. Gromp, smite, get help from ur bot lane
2. Blue, chug pot if necessary
3. Red, chug pot if ncessary, smite
4. Gank / clear more camps --> back
