Is both Youmuus and Statikk a good idea?

I just recently played a game against an enemy Graves who had both Youmuu's and Statikk Shiv in his items, he went on to carry his team and absolutely rek. I was just wondering if this kind of build is viable at all on Graves and if it is, is it a good idea?

That being said, I built both because the game was going for so long. We were behind most of the time, so I actually started with Bloodthrister. Many Graves players these days like to start with with Yommu's, but I would only suggest doing that if your ahead.

If your ahead, go for Infinity and Yommu's. If your behind, go for Bloodthirster and Statikk. Building them both right after the other is extremely risky, and would require a VERY high level of Graves (and marksmen in general) play. I was given the luxury of not only carrying a team, but the game going for an extremely long time, thus giving me the option to build both.

Both items are really good on him. Since his E is an auto attack speed buff, the buff from Yommu's only amplifies it. Also, Yommu's is very handy in getting in and out of situations.

Statikk gives him some much needed wave clear without having to waste mana using his Q. Just use your E, and stack those stacks as quickly as possible. This way, you can save your mana for the fights that matter.

Lmao, unfortunately it wasn't you, but im wondering the reason behind you doing this? it obviously led to a good score for you, like it did the guy I mentioned above. But man im really interested in finding out the benefits of this kind of build.

I'm no expert here but I would say he just happened to do well with it. imho, if he had built a or after he would probably have done even better due to his very bursty kit with high AD ratios. However, I can see this if he didn't feel the need for sustain if he was wrecking or didn't need ArmPen if your team wasn't stacking armor.

is a strong burst AD carry who snowballs well. Both and benefit him since they amplify his burst damage, grant him crit chance and work well with his skillset.

is great for champions who can combo abilities and use auto attacks in between and move around a lot. Graves benefits from all the stats the item grants. Since his cooldown is lowered for every auto attack he does, its active is great on him. He also has a lot of spell damage (q+r) so the flat armour penetration benefits him. Youmuu's is a great dueling item. Graves is a strong duelist.

grants Graves all the stats he needs. He has good burst. Statikk is a great burst item and Graves uses it incredibly well. 's active makes him move faster, therefore generating more procs. Graves is mana hungry. Statikk gives him waveclear, and you can instantly shove or push waves with an auto attack statikk proc + combo.
