League of Legends (LoL) Question: Splitpush build for Poppy?

    Splitpush build for Poppy?

Today I played a game with Poppy in which I got utterly fed (I ended 19/3/11) but failed to carry my team since no one pushed any line, and I was unable to splitpush because Poppy's too slow killing the minions. The Items I got were Iceborn Gauntlet, Dead Man's Plate and Zz'Rot (gotta push!) but I still couldn't do anything (later I got Mawmalwtiuosiajsks and Titanic Hydra but I still couldn't do much).

Is the any Poppy build that gives her good splitpushing while conserving her "champion fighting" potential? Any suggestions are welcome (if nothing works then I'll go and carry with Diana/Fiora who have no problems pushing).

It sounds like you did the best you could with your items (Iceborn, ZZ'rot and Titanic all improve pushing power) but as far as I know, Poppy just doesn't fit the role too well. She tends to do better in skirmishes and team fighting.

Definitely go for Fiora if you want to split push. She's insanely strong and an amazing duelist.

Yeah, Fiora's a beast. I used to play her a lot but my mouse broke and it's hard to proc the Vitals without a mouse (I play with the trackpad but it's not the same).

It's not worth going the splitpush path on Poppy. She's a good teamfight champion, maybe also a good addition in poke/siege comps for the disengage on her ult, but as a splitpusher she's pretty average.

You may splitpush with a regular Poppy build if you can, but you probably shouldn't compromise your teamfighting just because Tryndamere would be able to carry that game by splitpushing.

Well, yes, exactly what you said. Sunfire Aegis and Iceborn Gauntlet help her splitpush yet they don't compromise her teamfighting. I guess you could get them if you want to do some splitpushing, but you shouldn't go any further than that.

Zz'Rot Portal and Titanic Hydra aren't as good for her. You're losing a lot of defensive stats (that scale really well with her kit and optimal playstyle) only to become a subpar splitpusher.

Actually, getting Solar Cape and Iceborn Gauntlet first greatly improves Poppy's splitpush (I saw a pro player getting this items some days ago... Dunno if it was LCK, LCS or whatever) and still makes her a great teamfighter.

Yeah Poppy isn't really a split pusher. I've found from playing her a bit that she's great as a disengage/peeler but not really as a split pusher. What you want in a split pusher is either to be able to beat any one person on the enemy team in a 1v1 (make them send 2 to give your team an easy time pushing) or be able to run like hell. Poppy isn't a great duelist and although she can run with her movement speed buff she also doesn't take down towers fast enough to really excel at split pushing. Right now like PsiGuard pointed out Fiora is really strong. I'd also like to add Jax to that since Rageblade is still really strong. So overall no, you can't really play split push Poppy effectively but if you want to carry your team as a split pusher there are a lot of choices because split pushing in general is such a solid strategy right now.

I don't like Jax much... But yeah, I can't deny how strong he currently is with that item.
