    1. Always position yourself safely. Try to stay out of range of enemy gapclosers and CC.
    2. Last hit very very well. Farm = gold, gold = power. Make sure you always have more farm than the enemy ADC.
    3. Always focus the most nearby threat. Do NOT always focus the enemy ADC, since it might bring you out of position.
    4. Average ADC build would be: 1 lifesteal item, 1 attackspeed+crit item, 1 infinity edge, 1 berserker's greaves, 1 defensive item and 1 armor penetration item (preferably last whisper).
So, for Tristana for example, you build: Blade of the Ruined King, Infinity Edge, Berserker's Greaves, Phantom Dancer, Last Whisper and Guardian Angle
    5. Good rune options are: Armor penetration or flat AD marks, armor seals, MR or MR/lvl glyphs, armor penetration or flat AD or lifesteal Quintessences.
    6. Good masteries options are: 21-9-0 taking runic affinity (recommended) or 19-0-11 taking 3x vampirism (very strong when having lifesteal quints + dorans blade start)
    7. Good summoner spell options are: Flash (musthave), Barrier
Situational summoner spells are: Cleanse (when enemy has loads of CC), Exhaust (when your support doesnt take it), Ignite (when enemy has high sustain and feeling confident)

Not sure if there are more tips, but these are the ones I can think of :P

Oh before I forget: There is an attack move which allows last hitting and targeting to be easier. Attack move works kinda like a normal target shot (Like Ryze Q) and you can activate it by shift-rightclicking on minions instead of just rightclicking on it :P

Runes for ADC: Flat AD Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Scaling/Flat Magic Resist, and Flat AD Quints(2 Lifesteal Quints are recommended in replacement if you have them).

Masteries for ADC: A standard 21/9/0 is recommended.

Items: Very champion dependent. There is no standard build. Common first items for ADC Champions disregarding Blue Build Ezreal are: Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, or Blade of the Ruined King. Bloodthirster is usually purchased by champions who have high AD ratios on their abilities such as Graves or Miss Fortune. Infinity Edge is for champions who rely on their auto attacks for the main source of their damage such as Caitlyn. Blade of the Ruined King is for champions who scale well with attack speed such as Kog'Maw or Varus.

After purchasing a Bloodthirster or Infinity Edge you usually build Phantom Dancer and then Last Whisperer. After completing those two items you should then invest in a defensive item such as Guardian Angel, Randuin's Omen, or Warmog's Armor depending on how well protected you are. After that you usually complete either Bloodthirster if you rushed Infinity Edge or Infinity Edge if you rushed Bloodthirster.

The Blade of the Ruined King route has a lot of options that I would not like to break down.

Summoner Spells: Flash + Cleanse or Barrier

General Tips: Position yourself behind the front line the majority of the time.

Don't tunnel vision. Try to keep a general idea of what's going on in the fight at all times.

    Hit the closest.

Keep your distance from any assassins on the enemy team.

If you are get chunked in a fight hit a nearby jungle camp or minion wave for some lifesteal.

One of the most important things of ADCing is kiting. You should always stay a set distance away from their assasins so that you do not die, and can still auto attack. Also, you need to learn how to exchange in lane, so that you can win your lane, or get your opposing laner lower to set up for jungle ganks. Also learn when to freeze the lane and when to push

One of the most impotant things is learning to orb walk (move and attack constantly) also positioning while being able to last hit properly.

Every champ builds differently according to circumstances. Just learn what all the ADC items are.

As per tips...last hit? Learn how to follow up on an initiation and how to kite and orbwalk/stutterstep.
