Your thoughts on the viability of Riven jungle?

What are your thoughts on Riven in the jungle rather than the top lane? Do you think we might ever see this in competitive play? Do you think she is a viable jungle pick in ranked? Thanks.
Riven jungle is alright. Riven herself is a very strong champion, which is why she functions in the jungle, but overall, it isn't as good as her in the top lane, nor is it as good as many of the above average tier junglers either. It's just alright, and nothing more.
The main issue is why you would go jungle over top, and why wouldn't you just pick a different jungler.
The gold income in the jungle is a lot lower than top lane. Riven really needs that gold from top lane in order to get her rolling. The only way she can even hope to get as much gold is if she can snowball from ganking lanes. While that's all fine and dandy, you often won't be able to reliably get kills from lanes every game, so you'll simply be missing out on potential presence than if you were to go to top lane with a reliable gold income. The other thing is that Riven's main draw is her ability to be a lane bully. Her main niche is lost when she is in the jungle.
You'd probably have better options than Riven jungle. Things like Rengar and now Rek'Sai function a lot better than Riven in the jungle. You may as well just pick them over Riven since they have a much more logical time in the jungle and also have more reliable ganks compared to Riven's short dashes and somewhat minuscule CC.
Play it if you want. I'm a firm believer that you can win with anything if you're good with him. Just know that there are other picks in the jungle if you want to have an easier time. Also, a lot of the benefits that Riven gains from the top lane are lost for not much benefit in the jungle. She fails to have a unique niche in the jungle other than damage, something other champions can offer along with something else.
