Promised a double release for skipping to play Pokemon.

Champion Overview:

Viktor is an AP carry that has the ability to adapt to situations and be a part of different comps. Viktor Automatically has a "Power Core" in his inventory which is a strong item for his early game, but late game it is not as strong as some of the other items he could buy. Viktor brings 2 AoE CCs to his team as well as strong burst. Viktor's main weakness is how close range he needs to be to fire off his spells, but this is remedied in top lane, where most of the champions are melee range which is even shorter then Viktor. Here he is able to farm with a range advantage, and in team fight phase the team will have a long range AP as well as Viktor for even more magic damage.

Skills Overview:

Passive: Evolving Technology- Viktor starts with a Hex Core that provides him with stats and can be upgraded in the store to augment one of his abilities. The Hex Core can only be upgraded once, and cannot be sold back to the store.
This passive gives Viktor a core which will provide him some scaling AP in lane, meaning you can hold off on getting AP until you get a tanky item like a catalyst.

Q: Power Transfer - Viktor blasts an enemy unit dealing magic damage, returning a portion of the damage dealt as a shield. Viktor blasts an enemy unit for 80/125/170/215/260 (+0.65) magic damage, returning 40% of the damage dealt as a shield. Cost 45/50/55/60/65 Mana. Range 600.
This skill is useful for pokeing as it will prevent the enemies from trading back after you use this skill. The upgrade on this skill makes you tankier and gives you some mobility which is nice.

W: Gravity Field -Viktor conjures a gravitational imprisonment device, slowing all enemies by 28/32/36/40/44% of their Movement Speed and stacks every 0.5 seconds. At 3 stacks the target will be stunned for 1.5 seconds. Cost 65 Mana. Range 625.
This skill is like a veigar stun which is nice. It takes a long time to channel for the stun so the only time this will really end up stunning someone is in a teamfight or if they get CCed by something else first. The upgrade on this skill makes your stuns range longer, which is not really that good.

E: Death Ray - Viktor uses his robotic arm to fire a chaos beam that cuts across the field in a line, dealing 70/115/160/205/250 (+0.7) magic damage to every enemy in its path. Cost 70/80/90/100/110 Mana. Range 530.
This skill is your push, farm, and poke skill. This skill takes a bit of getting used to aiming, but it is very fun to use. The upgrade on this skill makes you do a DoT on targets you hit with this skill which is really nice.
Note:Once you cast the laser you can move freely and it will go down your selected path.

R: Chaos Storm- Viktor conjures a singularity at the target location, dealing 150/250/350 (+0.55) magic damage and silencing enemies in the area for 0.5 seconds. As it churns, it deals 40/60/80 (+0.24) magic damage every second to nearby enemies for 7 seconds. The storm moves faster the closer it is to Viktor. Activating this ability again while the singularity is active will redirect it. Cost 125/175/225 Mana. Range 700.
This skill is your burst ultimate. It applies a silence and burst damage on target location on activate and for a few seconds afterwards allows you to control a storm to deal a good amount AoE damage.

Combos/Skillorder:

Ability Sequence

Vs a laner who will murder you/Poke off lane.

Combos:

E-Q-(W and R for the kill)

Matchups:

Easy

Nasus (You can deny his farm early), Garen (You can Q and kite him around), Darius (You out range him and will poke him to death), Volibear (You can kite him with Q), Udyr (You can kite him) and Teemo (You can poke him with your ray hard).
Hard

Renekton (Can combo you for tons of damage), Poppy (will outscale you, and you cannot pressure her enough), Fizz ( CC and a gap closer he can just kill you), Nidalee(Can fight from range, and has the ability to get close to you), Lee Sin (Mobility and Sustain) and Wukong (Dashes up and Murders you).

Playing AS/VS:

As:
  • Lead enemies with the laser.
  • Wait until the enemy is CCed to throw your W.
  • Remember your Q has a delay before you get shielded, it is not wise to go in on enemies with longer range then you.
Vs:
  • Call for a gank, Viktor has no escape.
  • Pick champions with a gap closer and burst and you should win the lane easy.
  • Do not under estimate his burst power.

Big Item Choices::

CORE OF YOUR CHOICE

Rod of Ages- Makes you tanky, solves mana issues

Rabadon's Deathcap- Makes you get soooo much AP.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter- Good vs tanky team comps, or comps where mobility is key to fight.

Abyssal Mask- Gives you MR and makes the enemies more susceptible to your burst abilities.

Will of the Ancients- Gives you and your team sustain, get this if you have a mid who it works well with.

Deathfire Grasp- Cdr and with your burst combo amazing damage. If you rush this you can leblanc assassinate people.

Lich Bane - A finisher Item, you can auto enemies after your skills due to your low range.

Gametypes:

SoloQ:

Viktor is ok in SoloQ, if you can convince your mid to get a Wota your team gets an advantage.
Ranked 5s:

Viktor top allows you to effectivly pick a team comp for double Wota. Viktor also has the ability to be in on many different team comps with his kit, as he has burst and poke.

Conclusion:

That was my top facts viktor. Viktor is a fun to play underrated champion. I think if more people would be open minded and try to learn viktor before quitting and saying that he is weak they would like him. As always Have a good day and good luck on the fields of justice.

SERIES UPDATE:
I plan on releasing these every day/other day until I get all of the top lane picks in the league ( about 50-60 of them) if there are any requests leave in the comments below and ill work on them. I want to make this series for others to better understand the champions of top lane. Once I am done (Or once I have a few top facts out) I will release some Facts about top lane mechanics, eventually I will probably put everything into one generic top lane guide, however until I do that I will continue to watch and update my blogs as needed. Tips and tricks I missed under my Top Facts would be helpful if you put anything I don't have in the comments I will be sure to add it. I will be forming a guide called The complete guide to Top lane or something in that nature. The intention of this series is not as a "Build guide" or a "play guide", these are more like facts you should know about the champion. These are to inspire people to think of new champion possibilities they might not have thought of or to help a new player with the champion. I do not list runes masteries or a set build ( I give a kind of recommended items) in here due to the fact I want people to think of that for themselves and try new things. This series is an attempt for the LOL community to try new things and have fun in a fun game. Thank you for reading and have a nice day :P
