And then you go for this build:
Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer, Phantom Dancer, Bloodthirster, Blade of the Ruined King, Essence Reaver while your suppot has zeke's herald.
50% Lifesteal, rather 4%.^^
Welp, still not that much tho :D.

The counter to Irelia is so huge, silence if she jumps into the back line, spin on her and ult, dead.

BTW: Look at my build, I exactly called that build.

Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 5.8!
After three weeks, the cycle of patch 5.7 has come to an end. In today's patch, Riot has combined a couple of stand-out changes to champions and items with some smaller buffs and nerfs, while also rolling out a final group of texture rebalances (for now) and of course leaving room for a new set of upcoming skins.
Should you be interested in the full details, head over to the official patch notes. Alternatively, if you wish to save some time while still learning about all important changes instead, stick with us as we discuss updates to Ryze, Black Cleaver and more!

Out of all champions named in the table above, the most interesting one to talk about is definitely Ryze, as the Ryze Champion Update will be live in this patch. This means his Overload will no longer be targeted, his Spell Flux will have larger impact against a bunch of grouped opponents and - perhaps most importantly - his new passive will also make him alternate more between phases of being very strong or relatively weak (rather than his damage output remaining consistent throughout the game). Of course, he will also receive new ability icons (displayed below).
The most notable nerfs this patch has brought along are the changes to Sion's Soul Furnace and Jinx' ultimate. Sion now needs to wait an extra second before being able to detonate his shield, while the health ratio of it has also been reduced. As far as Super Mega Death Rocket! is concerned, the minimum damage of it (when cast at close range) will now be only 25/35/45 rather than the 125/175/225 it used to be, making it all the more important to use it as a mid-long range sniping tool.
To end on a positive note, Blitzcrank has received some buffs to his new Overdrive to make it feel like it's actually worth using, Dr. Mundo now regains 100% of the health cost of Infected Bonesaw if he kills his target with it and Kha'Zix' Void Spike heals him for more at early ranks.
Item Changes
There are a few changes worth highlighting here, with the biggest one of those being a rework of Black Cleaver. The item now grants more Health and CDR (which it has traded for flat AD and armor penetration), has a slightly higher armor shred duration on its passive and has gained another new passive which provides movement speed for a short amount of time whenever the champion using it deals physical damage to an enemy. But most importantly, because of its new icon it is now actually black!
In other news, Recurve Bow now builds out of two Daggers and has gained a unique passive to deal 10 physical damage on hit, resulting in some slight changes to its upgrades ( Wit's End, Runaan's Hurricane) as well. Speaking of its upgrades, Blade of the Ruined King's build path has also changed to include the Recurve Bow, while the item also received a buff on its passive (which will now benefit from lifesteal).
Upcoming Skins
While Riot usually likes expanding collections, only half of the four upcoming skins will join an existing group of skins this time around, with Forsaken Jayce joining Forsaken Olaf while Blood Moon Zilean will become the sixth skin in the Blood Moon group after Blood Moon Shen , Blood Moon Akali , Blood Moon Kalista , Blood Moon Elise and Blood Moon Thresh . This skin will be available for 975 RP, while the other three that are displayed below will cost 1350 RP each.
Share Your Thoughts!
For those of you who are a fan of the Howling Abyss, there are some interesting changes to that map/game mode (including a new summoner spell) which we haven't discussed. Interested? Make sure to head on over to the full patch notes to check out the full details (link in the introduction).
Before you do, however, make sure to leave your opinion on the changes we discussed here first. Will you be looking to pick up Ryze after his changes going live in this patch? Which champion do you think will benefit most from the new Black Cleaver? And finally, are you excited about any of the upcoming skins? Let us know in the comments!
