Hello, it's me again!
So, I've been playing a lot of Ryze lately (40k mastery, if it tells you anything). I've played him during my ranked promos to Plat V, which where victorious, thanks to the Skullie over here
And I have a few ideas, that you might find useful to add in your guide:
1) Liandry's Torment Boy, is this thing good on Ryze now! Thanks to the new Arcane Mastery, Ryze can almost perma-lock a target, and yes - roots amplify Liandry's Torment damage. This allows Ryze to single-handedly melt HP-stacking tanks in a matter of 5-6 seconds. This one time I had , and some sort of tanky support (I think it was ). I procced my passive and kited them for a while. Since is naturally pretty beefy with his core items, I managed to keep the enemy team's tanks on me, while my team finished their ADC and mid. After that the enemy team surrendered. I strongly advise to build Liandry's Torment on Ryze, if the enemy team's tanks ( , , , e.t.c.) start stacking health.
2) Morellonomicon Strangely, this item worked fantastic for me against regenerating toplaners ( , , ). Since has a ton of burst damage now, most of the enemies I've encountered didn't turn on their healing abilities before 40% max. HP, being the best example. The overall spammy nature of allows for constant Morellonomicon procs. Again, try it out.
3) Thornmail Due to regenerating a ton of health during his Desperate Power, Thornmail works quite well against AA-oriented champions, who want to focus down. ( being an another fine example)

Hello man, nice guide on 5.8 Ryze!
But I have 1 suggestion. Since Mana as a resource takes a very long time to actually build it, I suggest investing more into AP - taking only RoA as a mana item. Riot buffed Ryze's AP scalings + Luden's Echo is a fantastic item on Ryze. I'm going to give it a shot - RoA only, other items in resistances and flat AP.
Gl\hf!

Hello GameOveRus,

I actually do like building AP on Ryze. I personally really like going Luden's and playing him similar to Cass. I do think Seraph's is important on him though, as it gives him a nice amount of AP and Mana.

Thanks for the comment!

Dude, great build. I used it a couple times, and I did wonders with it during late game. I noticed that this build can be easily adapted for mid lane, keeping more or less the same items. You should make a section for people who still play ryze in mid lane. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the kind words! I've been really busy lately, as I just had a yard sale and lots of planning since I'm going to watch MSI live (so hyped). I'll add in a temporary one for now!

Hey man! I think you should try the doran's ring start x2 potions.

I just start playing new ryze and I beat a cho really hard in lane with ryze. So, i went 21/9/0 in masteries and I had AP quints (I do not have the MS runes). So, if you max E after Q instead of W you get an amazing burst (since E reduce MR). Ryze AP (instead of Ryze Mana) looks really strong for me.

I went tear - ROA - mercury - zhonias - lyandris (i just wanted know if this work but glorys still an option when going more tanky) and abysal

@truco95
I don't prefer Doran's ring, but I have put it into my starting items. I think it honestly limits your mana pool too much early, and that Sapphire crystal is a better choice.

In response to your AP, I think some AP items are really good (I have a love for Luden's Echo), but some mana items are really needed, and it makes you take less damage because of your passive. From the build you listed, Merc. Treads, Seraphs, RoA, Zhonyas, Abyssal are all good together, but I would use something instead of Liandry's like Ludens, Void Staff, or WotA. Just check my guide and read through that.

Thanks for your input! :)
