I look around the room and see who's got it right. Those who got it right can go on with the exercises. Those who got it wrong I can take aside and reteach/find the gaps in knowledge. Do you think mini whiteboards are a good idea to check for understanding, or are they just another outlet for students to doodle and waste time?[/quote]

We're smack bang between two large supermarkets, so we'd stockpile from those places then bunker down. First item on stockpile list would be duct tape. Boxes of it. Then we'd duct tape all windows. If ever forced to go for more supplies, dress in full covered clothing, including helmet, gloves and boots. All clothing items would be duct taped down - hands and teeth will not be able to claw/bite through duct tape. Not an inch of skin would be exposed. Also, scooters. Not bikes.
