As I said above, you're right, I was jokingly exaggerating. I am definitely not encouraging people to use 
Ahri as an ADC, and I personally have no intent to do it outside of normals with friends. My point is just that it shouldn't be that surprising that these builds don't totally tank: yes, you're at a disadvantage, but that disadvantage is small enough that if you're a little more competent than your opponent, you can still win.
