Treeline is imbalanced in general.
It's way on the edgey side of Riot's radar. They barely keep champions from being OP there.
Like Mordekaiser and Mundo.
If fed even a little, they're just ridiculous.
Janna, and Taric are pretty decent. Just have to have good teammates, cause Supports are what they are, Support; you only do as well as your teammates.

untrue about taric. If you look at his base stats he has very very high AD and decent AS. He has abilities that AOE buff AD and he has a good heal which can still be good if you dont stack AP. He also has a ranged stun. He is a support/tank that can still DPS IMHO.
While support can support in a 3 they usually dont contribute nearly enough as say a nuke or a dps. They also are way to squishy so they feed unlike tanks. They usually cant guard towers well...some can granted.

I've seen plenty of Tarics rock Treeline.
Been playing tons since I found a workable jungle-route.
Taric can build tanky, and still deal nice damage if he grabs an Archangel, making him very durable and totally ungankable if the player isn't overextending too much.
His ranged stun also makes him very nice for ganks.
Because of that, he excels at TT as much as SR.
