@ VexRoth If you're actually looking to improve, I can offer some more tips that our resident hardstuck Diamond 5 player @ FatelBlade might have missed ;).

Just looking through this thread... jfc if you're going to post every single ranked game you play at least write what you did wrong and how you plan on fixing it rather than summarizing the game. Most high elo players do this on a notepad.

Also, I would also recommend reconsidering some in-game choices. For example, you always want to run mobis on champs such as Maokai and Rammus. Just judging by your stats, I also suspect you're not ganking enough for the current meta (catchup exp favors heavy gankers).

Consider checking out some high elo replays as well. That's how I mostly improve. Here are a few high elo junglers off the top of my head:

A big thing (IMO) is to stop writing about what your team did wrong. Its okay to acknowledge that a teammate may have had a negative impact on the game, but it seems as if you're focusing too much on it. It seems as if your posts in this thread are simply relaying what occurred in the game, with a tidbit here or there about what you should have done, or what team should have done. Instead of doing that, post about why you, and what you could have done instead to maximize your chances of winning.

If you play well every game, you will climb, assuming all other players are idiots. With that in mind, ranked is a numbers game. You have the numbers part down, but you need increased introspection. I went back a page and chose a random post, and this was the majority of it:

Team no itemize like I suggest. Get ****ped on by high damage mages.

Jayce sad because cheesed at level 2. But can't be bothered to watch our blue, which allowed for the cheese. He no build like he is losing to an AP champion. Apparently this is not why he was losing.

Yasuo kicks butt, then gets Yasuo disease and trys to take on world and starts losing which tilts him.

Ekko stomps on us.

Kind of forgot that Tristana and Soraka were in the game. Didn't seem to have much effect.

4 out of 5 lines in the above example are you criticizing your team for doing something wrong or not listening to you. I didn't watch the game, and it may all be true, but it shows that you are analyzing these games with the wrong mindset. You should be focused only on yourself. Every game that you get 4 idiots, there's someone on the enemy team with 4 idiots as well. You just need to play better than that guy and long term you'll climb.

This got sort of rambly at the end. I'm shivering and have to get to class, feel free to ask any other questions.

I'm laughing a little because that particular post you chose as an example I had to re-write because I included too many questions marks in it in a row and got caught by the "spam/offensive content" filter.

But that is an aside. I've been using the posts more as a summary of what happened in game. The things I actually learn and try to apply (the tidbits) I post to my blog here at Mobafire.

https://www.mobafire.com/profile/vexroth-588862/blog (hopefully linking this doesn't void some sort of terms of service or some such).

But to your point, I will try to list what my plan for the game was and how I went about executing it and how that went and what I feel I could do better rather than summarizing the clown fiesta.

I appreciate the feeback. Thank you! :)

Yamikazexz,

Hello! I appreciate all help and I know I need a lot of it. Gold is better than a lot, but nowhere near where I would like to get with the game.

I will focus on more of what I did wrong and where I think I could play better.

I probably don't gank enough. I get aids when I think about trying to hundred to zero a champion that is standing in their own minion wave at full health while my laner is at half health or lower, which is what most of my laners seem to want. I take the Neace approach on this and go try and find the enemy jungler simply to ping out their location and/or steal some of their camps as safely as I possibly can. Anything to keep the gold and XP flowing in while taking as few risks as possible.

I'm also not very practiced at invading to actually try and kill the enemy jungler. It usually winds up in some sort of clown fiesta in my experience and results in more wasted time than advantage gained.

Yeah, I almost never buy mobis. The combat stats just seem more useful and the win rates on mobis don't necessarily support purchasing them (can of course depend on the champion and the game).

Appreciate the links to the other junglers. I will check them out. Since Valkrin stopped streaming I haven't really found a jungler I liked watching and was informative. Edge occasionally has some good jungle content but he is only on sporadically.

Did well in the early game. Good ganks to help out pretty much every lane. Talon roamed well to get kills in other lanes. Mid game should have been with my team even though they weren't controlling side waves. Might have been able to finish the game off early even though we weren't playing it by the book. Got them down to one Nexus tower. I maybe should have saved my ult for Vayne or Twitch in the later stages of the game, but I could never seem to get to them, so I opted to use it on the nearest low health target to take one person out of the fight. They had enough chain CC that I couldn't get away from them if the rest of my team wasn't around to distract them.

Farmed well early game because my laners were all dead. The End.

Here is what I could have done better this game. I could have dodged. Why should I have dodged. Because my team picked Zilean and Jinx into Blitzcrank. I also don't trust gold level Jayce players. The champion is just too reliant on getting ahead to be useful. Plus side was that they picked Darius into the Jayce which should be a winning match-up for the Jayce.

Alternatively I needed to camp the Jayce lane to make sure that the Evelynn didn't manage to turn what should have been a strong lane into a winning lane for their team. But that still wouldn't have fixed the Blitzcrank problem in Bot lane so dodge.

Farmed. Got big. Made some plays. Kept our team focused on objectives. Called Baron when we saw Rek'Sai and at least one other in Bot lane leaving pretty much only Teemo to stand watch around Baron. Rolled the game up from there.

Invaded their Top side jungle relatively early to get intel on Rek'Sai's location. Called out that she was likely Bot just a little too late for Draven who ended up dying to a gank from her.

Made a mistake trying to save our Top outer tower from Jax rather late in the game. Of course he manages to get the tower and stun me even though I dashed into a wall. Kayn is not bad as a duelest but he is no Jax. Lesson learned. I didn't mess with him alone for the rest of the game.

Still like Death's Dance as second item on Kayn over anything else I've tried. The passives are just too good at keeping me alive in those Mid game skirmishes.

This was the game of nothing. No engage I made amounted to anything. Even bought Mobility Boots to get around the map faster. Stole a bunch of Kayn's camps and a big ol nothing burger.

My takeaway from this game: If a teammate refuses to itemize efficiently against the enemy team after being advised that something would probably be a smart purchase and then they subsequently feed thier *** off then you are more than likely going to lose.

I was not able to ignore Mid and play to my other lanes as much as I would have liked. That is par for the course when an Ekko gets ahead in my experience. They roam and make problems in other lanes.

Perhaps I could have pathed more efficiently to Mid to pick up a kill on Ekko? Red, Wolves, Blue, Scuttle, Zed goes all in on Ekko and loses. Mechanically I don't think I did it quite right because I had to go over a wall to try and get him and wound up being just out of range.

Lesson learned. Dodge when you have a Kog'Maw Mid. eh screw this.

Anytime Gangplank could get a barrel on Kog'Maw Nidalee who hovered Mid could kill him with one spear. I could help kill the Gangplank once I had ult, but I had to buy some armor to survive it and we never managed to trade 1 for 0. Kog always died. In the meantime, to get out I had to dodge Nidalee spears and then her following me around in my jungle if I was low enough that she thought she could get a kill on me.

With the Kog's issue of being slowed by the barrels so much that he was pretty much insta dead if he got hit by one I don't know exactly how I could have played this better. I still managed to outfarm the Nidalee despite all of that.

Oh, I did hit a three man ult on thier team, but Kog'maw chose that moment to wander off to get Blue buff. Galio followed me in though, but the rest of the team was too far back to take advantage of the setup.

We needed to sit back and scale up, but with a GP ult to keep us from disengaging or to setup a dive I don't think we had time.

My team was competent! Yay! Teemo stayed cool despite the fact that our Zed banned his Yasuo. He splitpushed well definitely sucked up a decent chunk of their resources. Zed and I teamed up for and early kill on Kassadin. I tried to rinse and repeat gank but the lane was too pushed for it.

Only major screw up that I can remember was our team trying just a little too hard to get Mid tower which IIRC cost us Kalista and Blitzcrank. Other than that we played it reasonably cleanly.

I do need to learn how to layer my Smite with Kalista's Rend.

1 and 1 on the day. Tired, so I am going to call it. Gnite.
